This distortion of fact is particularly unfortunate given the ground - breaking work by California wineries and vineyards to
tackle the
issue of GHG emissions by working to improve
air quality and energy efficiency, along with other sustainable winegrowing practices from ground to bottle, through the California Sustainable Winegrowing Program (https://www.sustainablewinegrowing.org/).
The UK Government and the devolved administrations published the
Air Quality Strategy for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland on 17 July 2007 - setting out a way forward for work and planning on air quality issues and the air quality standards and objectives to be achieved; introducing new policy framework for tackling fine particles and identifying potential new national policy measures which modelling indicates could give further health benefits and move closer towards meeting the Strategy's objectiv

It is undoubtedly an important
issue, but has our enthusiasm for
tackling climate change led us to neglect other pressing and arguably more immediate environmental concerns, such as poor
air quality in our major cities?
Dawn: Released by the World Bank, the report calls upon the government to make urban
air quality improvement a priority in the country's policy agenda, noting that the
issue has received little attention despite strong evidence indicating an urgent need to
tackle pollution in major cities.
This activity report highlights the global challenge of
tackling man - made climate change,
air quality issues and poor road safety; and in particular the role played by transport.
