The state's top legislative leaders on Monday insisted the swirling corruption investigations would not derail the remainder of the legislative session, listing a package of top priorities they would like to tackle in the remaining scheduled days in Albany, including
tackling heroin addiction.
The governor and state attorney general announced separate initiatives to
tackle the opioid -
heroin epidemic, while another health insurer took action against Western New York Dr. Eugene J. Gosy, and a group of experts is arranging a program to provide free training on how to serve those suffering from
addiction.
