Do you add the water to the meat and
taco seasoning like the back of the taco seasoning mix instructs?
The best chicken I've done in there is poached in a mixture of broth and salsa verde with
taco seasonings like chili powder, cumin, and a little cayenne for kick.

You can certainly use the prepackaged
taco seasoning and canned enchilada sauce if you
like, or use your own homemade alternatives.
The best way to describe the flavor, though, is to say that it tastes a lot
like taco seasoning, though it isn't nearly as salty as that cheap bagged stuff you might get from your supermarket.
