Most often, a couple of tablespoons are sprinkled
over ground
turkey or beef and a little bit of vegetables (corn, diced tomatoes or bell peppers, some hidden mushrooms — whatever I have on hand) for a quick
taco dinner.
While it can be very convenient to dump a package of
taco seasoning in the ground
turkey, I assure you that it takes no more than a minute to add the individual seasonings, which give you a lot more control
over the sodium levels and flavor.
Add
turkey or beef, salsa, chiles and
taco seasoning to skillet and place
over medium - high heat.
This salad can clearly be made with any protein of your choice but I wanted to share my
taco tofu recipe that is great
over nachos, in
tacos or wherever you would traditionally use ground beef / chicken or
turkey — great way to incorporate more plant based foods into you menu.

tacos,
turkey Pad Thai, BBQ
turkey rolls (just pour your favorite BBQ sauce
over shredded
turkey, put it in a dinner roll and melt cheese on top with the broiler),
turkey noodle casserole — basically, the sky's the limit.
