tactical play on Friday night?
Not exact matches
On the
tactical side, we're seeing a lot of different
plays.
Wenger lacks
tactical flexibility We've watched all the games so far this season and we've witnessed Wenger
on the sidelines with no Plan B
playing the same way; slow build ups to attacks from the start of the whistle till the end of the match which worked a few times and failed most times which has resulted in our dropping out of the title race and the Capital One Cup.
obviously I would prefer to have a much more suitable alternative in the defensive midfielder positions but if they focused more
on defensive end and the occasional long - ball, this would allow Bellerin and Sead ample opportunities to bomb forward
on their respective wings while still having enough cover to maintain their defensive shape... it would likewise allow for overlapping runs
on both wings, thereby letting both Sanchez and Perez to cut inside and get shots away in and around the top of the box with their most dominant feet... if goals were needed I would sub Bellerin for OX and bring Ramsey in for Elneny then switch to a 3 -2-4-1 (more of a 3 -1-5-1 with Ramsey
playing higher up the pitch) and I would only use Giroud as a sub when the game dictated it for
tactical reasons... this would allow us to be a high energy team with incredible link - up
play and a much more direct approach in the offensive end
the same is true about your statement.we all know most of the top teams bar juventus
play either4 -3-3 or 4 -2-3-1, which are very similar.We know that Wenger isn't a
tactical wizard and hes very cautious, so why would he change formation?the only reason i can see would be to accommodate players who might not get into the team i.e Ramsey
on the wing.Which is not a good idea

On the pitch: - we always start 3 -4-3 but always switch back to a back 4... it isn't tactical as we look bad in both - Bellerin playibg LWB when you have the best in the bundesliga last season on the bench - Welbeck playing the striker role when he can do everything but score when you have Lacazette a record signing on the - Monreal in back 3 when you have Kostafi who can flank Per in the middle protecting him against pace as well as having a commending figure and - Telling Xhaka to not play as a 3rd offensive player when Ramsey dashes - Playing a guy in Ox so out of position and persisting with him over preseason as if he would be there for years when it is clear he doesn't want to play for us (his case is a weird on

Some
tactical changes definitely have to be made: like a guy said before: Just keep one of Cazorla / Ozil not both!Walcott could also be brought to
play on the wing and have Welbeck
play in front Rosicky / Ox can
play in midfield and Gabriel and Monreal must be in and BFG and Gibbs out!!
If Wenger gets this
tactical battle
on the team selection issue right, it should minimise the disadvantage of
playing extra games.

playing of Gab, Campbell, Bellerin etc show that he is
tactical about rotation and players
on form.
- quality signings when required -
tactical awareness - good substitutions and adapted formations to sooth opponents - better player / injury management - players
playing based
on form not just favouritism
Ofcorse it is, the injuries are to be blamed for all Arsenal problems. This year it is the injuries, last year it is the injuries and the year before that it is the injuries. It is really shame for a club like arsenal to give excuses for their problem
on injuries season after season after season.According to the manager, the players and the majority of the fans, the problems has nothing to do with the fact that the club did not strengthened the most problematic area in the team, DM and CBs; it has nothing to do with the fact that players were
played out of position; and it has nothing to do with the fact that Wenger's
tactical inability (for games like Liverpool 5 - 1, Chelsea 6 - 0, City 6 - 3, Everton 3 - 0, Andrelechet 3 - 3, Swansea 2 - 1).

played with Sanchez
on the left, but the rest of time I have to adapt to the

Theres more chance of a rule change allowing us to
play with 15 players
on the pitch than Wenger dropping Ozil or Wenger making a
tactical adjustment, which could help us defensively.

on this site) thinks they know the
tactical secret to beating every team we
play and how to consistently win the PL!
lets just establish that now... A man with genuine intent to win the league would firstly adress the the issue of squad depth both from a
tactical perspective as in being able to bring in different personel an completley alter the way the team
plays... you cant keep using the same players and the same formation and tactics every game teams will work it out... you wonder why Giroud is
on a goal drought.

play maker Mesut Ozil is unavailable and he should be back for the second EPL match against Leicester, but who will take his place tomorrow and which Arsenal stars will complete the central three, assuming that Wenger is not going to pull a surprise
tactical formation
on us and Jurgen Klopp?
So Mr Pawn, request you to enlighten all of us
on ththe brilliant
tactical moves of your master against Liverpool — dropping lacazette and kolasinac and
playing Ox when he is leaving.
We're going to waste time and money
on a CB when we should be looking for a top class DM.If Wenger think signing another CB is solving our problems then he's lying to himself.Mark my words any other CB we sign no matter how good will still come and add to a shaky defense. The problem with our defenfing is more of
tactical and mental.
Tactical because we
play without a DM, we mark and track players poorly, the fullbacks are usually isolated leaving them to cope alone, our passing is not good enough leaving us exposed to counters which we aren't prepared for and no leadership and maintenance of defensive shape.
When you consider — 15mil for Gabriel, 10mil for Monreal and 19mil for Cazorla I honestly feel there's been a change in focus
on transfers, both due to the prices as well as the
tactical and technical similarities to the way we
play.
Whether that's been down to a lack of
tactical versatility from the former Juventus ace, or perhaps Jose Mourinho who has received criticism for not
playing his star man in his most effective role
on the left of a midfield three and in a more advanced position, it has all contributed to an underwhelming campaign overall.
Hope we don't see any strange
tactical decision like Ozil
playing on the right wing or Sanogo starting up front.
I agree with you that AW has done some astounding things for the club, but he has also made some reall balls ups and week in week out it seems he is not able to offer up a
tactical plan B or utilise key players in key positions against the relevant sides we
play, (not starting with Rosicky and Walcott
on Saturday was one such instance) I realise that no team wins all their games and I know that we have been under the cosh for quiet a few years now, but what annoys me more than anything else is the lack of Visible ambition, we spent three weeks messing around with Beliek and only just managed to get Paulista who was an uncertainty due to a work visa.

on their own part, are
on a little revival of sorts; they have started

tactical reason for Giroud to start and there is also the case of rotation and using the whole squad and
on that note I think the boss is keen to give Alexis a rest before he heads off
on another long haul trip to

No matter how you slice it, you can't run an uptempo offence with Giroud
on the pitch and that means sideways soccer and an over-reliance
on crosses into the box, thereby negating many of the very reasons Lacazette was
on your radar in the first place... we simply aren't clinical enough from wide positions to continue with that approach, which is why many fans have been clamoring for a viable alternative to Giroud for several years... once again this isn't an attack
on Giroud, he clearly has some tangible skills, but his mere presence
on the pitch greatly impacts your
tactical options... Giroud's weaknesses are simply highlighted by the way in which our offence now moves in a more horizontal than vertical manner, which allows most teams ample time to regroup defensively before a scoring opportunity even arises... a player of Ibra's or Benzema's ilk would have been far more effective as they had size, speed and the first touch capabilities required to for intricate link - up
play... once again square peg in a round hole
As well as pointing out that he is the sort of defender that

playing Shrewsbury Town.We are Arsenal and with
tactical awareness Barca are beatable, go fo pace and long balls
on the counter, do nt try tik - tak with them, so my team is CECH Bellerin Per Kos Nacho Ramsey Coquelin Walcott Ozil Sanchez Welbeck
The
tactical side of things might work for him as well as the Gunners will expect to be as dominant and as far forward
on the pitch, but then again perhaps the pace of Welbeck could swing things in his favour and he did
play well
on Friday.
I think that wenger is just waiting for walcott to be fit... The main
tactical problem is that the wilshere's forced starting place in the middle is screwing EVERYTHING: Mesut has to
play on the left in order to make space for wilshere, ramsey doesen't perform as alway's and we
play slowly.
You know there are other formations that do nt neccesarily require a CDM, with the midfielders we have i think we have the luxury of contemplating different
tactical approaches, Wishere has shown the an ability of
playing a deeper role not neccesarily DM, more
on the lines of a deep lying playmaker, so the reason we shouldn't experiment and see weather it could actually work is because seancali doesn't believe it would work...
Ramsey has had one good season for us since his horrible injury, he needlessly gives the ball away much too often and his finishing is even worse than Giroud's... once again we have fallen in love with the idea of what could have been... Ramsey has only scored 2 meaningful goals in his entire Arsenal tenure: one in Turkey and the other in last year's FA Cup, which is not near enough to make him a centerpiece of this offence... likewise simply his presence
on the team sheet has led Wenger into making horrible
tactical blunders because he will force Ramsey into the lineup even when it doesn't make sense... just think of all those games when Ramsey was
played out wide
on the right, which forced the RB to come up into the
play far more often, and deeper, because Ramsey invariably would find himself in a more central position leaving us far more vulnerable to the counterattack..
He spent the morning
playing music to relax his team - mates before spending half - an - hour

play someone like Bayern for 4 years in a roll and still haven't got a
tactical advantage
on how to beat them..
As much as I want us to sign top quality players whenever possible I think it won't actually matter because Wenger is just going to continue
playing people out of position or making
tactical errors like leaving Cazorla, Oxlade - Chamberlain and Xhaka
on the bench yesterday, or
playing Alexis up front
on his own.
But it now looks aas though he was rested as a precaution or for
tactical reasons, as the Evening Standard are reporting that Koscielny is fine and will be in the team to
play Stoke
on Saturday, as long as nothing untoward happens in the meantime.
With Arsenal sitting in a lowly 8th position in the Premier League table and with us
playing catch up to Borussia Dortmund in our Champions League group and having been knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Southampton, you might think it strange for me to say that Arsenal have excelled at anything so far this season, but as a
tactical stats report
on Arsenal.com shows, we certainly have.
It is a good thing & minutes has to be the first thing for him thought it would've been good to be mentor by a manager with

Also of note is the finding that the best performing young footballers who will go
on to
play the sport professionally display superior dribbling skills, endurance capacity and
tactical awareness compared to their peers, from as early as 14 years of age.9 17 These differences appear well before it is possible to accumulate 10 000 h of practice, but allow predictions of which players will go
on to achieve best performances in adulthood, suggesting that the effectiveness of and response to training, rather than simply training, determines success.
At the very highest level, when you are
playing Bayern, Real Madrid or even Chelsea the games sometimes are
tactical, there are not a lot of chances created, the midfield is stymied, you need a striker who can drop a shoulder, go pass one player and take a shot
on target!

Liverpool
played in the same
tactical vein though as they did against Bournemouth, with a particular emphasis
on attacking out wide, rather than down the middle — as they do in games where the attack is stagnated: a disproportionate (this is good) 39pc of Liverpool's attacks came
on the right - side, with 33pc centrally, and 29pc
on the left.
