a tad more butter and more honey and they're still dry as the desert!

But here we make it a
tad more special and extra delicious by cooking the oatmeal with pure apple juice / cider, spices,
butter or coconut oil and chopped almonds for extra rich flavor and texture.
All I did was add just a
tad more peanut
butter (natural and cold) and they turned out just fine.
I make toffee every year so I'm familiar with this process, but just don't feel confident in this outcome as caramel; I also think it tastes
more like evaporated milk than caramel... I used salted
butter and even added a
tad of sea salt at the end to get a
more sea salt taste (which didn't come)... do you think using 2 sticks of
butter would work?
Only a few minutes
more, and you're now looking at something that pretty much resembles coconut
butter, only it has a texture that is a
tad on the coarser side.
*** Variation 1: I used hazelnut
butter instead of almond
butter & subbed a
tad more honey for the stevia (which we can't get & don't use).
I didn't notice that the
butter was supposed to be divided, so my dough was extra buttery, but I can't say that was a bad thing (my cookies were probably a
tad more crumbly than the recipe intends).
Take one slice of bread,
butter side down and slather the other side of the bread with 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing (or a
tad bit
more if you like).
