I would use the Target Gift card to stock up on home essentials, method cleaning products, TP and maybe
some Tahini so I can try the recipe.
It couldn't be more simple — just mix 1/4 cup of tahini (again, I recommend Dastony's version, I've never had
a tahini so perfectly creamy!)

My friend Teddy from Switzerland won't eat peanut butter; he almost gave me a heart attack when I made hummus and didn't have
tahini so used PB instead — he took one bite and I thought he might be allergic!
Even though I'm not that much of a hummus fan myself (my favorite version is with tomato sauce and peanut butter instead of
tahini so...).

Tahini so I had to try this.
I didn't have
tahini so I checked on line and used natural peanut butter mixed with sesame oil as a substitute.
The sweet and savory flavors within the bread compliment the rich, nutty
tahini so well.
Sadly I haven't made the recipe using
tahini so I couldn't say how it would taste, but let me know how they turn out as I'd be interested to know!
Unfortunately I didn't have any fresh lemon, herbs or
tahini so used lemon juice (from concentrate), dried mixed herbs and sesame oil — turned out really well, will definitely try with fresh ingredients next time

so delicious with things like roasted chickpeas, some buckwheat or quinoa with a little
tahini and lemon and yes pumpkin seeds are amazing in it!
Alternatively you could try
tahini or tamari instead however I haven't tried this before with this recipe
so I'm not too sure how it would turn out.

tahini from a jar
so I am not too sure.
You could try oat flour instead of walnuts and
tahini instead of cashew butter, but I have never tried it with those ingredients
so can't guarantee it will turn out quite the same x

tahini and I've made it lots of time without
so don't worry about a substitute just ignore it — hope your husband loves it!
I played with
so many different flavours and decided that this batch was my favourite — I love the subtle blend of spicy cumin, tangy lemon, sweet basil leaves and creamy
tahini blended with chickpeas, olive oil and water until perfectly smooth.
This looks
so good and I want to try it sometime soon, and, oh my God,
tahini is my new ketchup — it is
so good with everything!

I understand if it doesn't work for you though in my recipes I often use it for the specific sweetness or stickiness,
so sometimes nut butters (almond, cashew or
tahini) can work as a substitute or other oils (olive) or other sticky beauties (dates, figs etc).
It just tastes
so incredible, especially when mixed with a little
tahini, lemon juice and cumin — I then add sun - dried tomatoes as they really bring the flavour to a whole new level, making it even more wonderfully rich and delicious.
Of course you still have the classic super creamy texture of normal hummus, as well as the subtle hints of tangy lemon, smooth
tahini and peppery cumin
so you won't be loosing any of your favourite hummus elements, just adding to their awesomeness with a few new additions!

Tip # 1: You can make your own
tahini with raw, organic sesame seeds and a food processor... it's
so easy to do and cheaper than buying store - bought!
