I would always focus on great content and if
you take lots of outfit photos then photography may be the thing to learn first.
It is nice to have him back though I am pestering him to
take lots of outfit photos b / c I have found that so frustrating.
For my blog,
we take a lot of my outfit pictures either right after work or over the weekend and I typically write all of my posts over the weekend so I can spend time with our family during the day and with my husband after our son goes down at night.
As I'm sure is the case for most bloggers,
I take a lot of outfit photos in advance.
Not exact matches
Summer was pretty easy because maxi dresses
took over, and
lots of strapless
outfits that didn't require much thought.
The right
outfit is out there... it just
takes a
lot of looking.
I love photographing
outfits for the blog, but sometimes it
takes a
lot of thought and planning.
There were a
LOT of outfit posts I shared through those months that I only wore for the time it
took to
take photos.
I think a
lot of the street style and fashion we have been seeing lately has just been about getting an
outfit and then
taking it to that next level (something I am still trying to work on!).
Stand back
take a different look at how you could style your basic pieces and create
lots of varied and different
outfits.
I should do similar with my photos because... you are right, it does
take a
lot of time to
take pictures in
outfits you aren't really wearing!
These touches can really make a
lot of difference and
take your
outfit to the next level (and quite easily make a casual look more work appropriate)!
As such, it's
taken a real effort
of restraint not to start incorporating that feeling into my
outfits this month, but I managed to resist and instead focused on the fact that it still feels a
lot like the height
of autumn thanks to the autumn leaves that are still holding strong out there — isn't the autumn colour normally done by now??
After
taking lots of pictures outside (if you follow me on Instagram you probably saw our snowy pics) I wanted to have a roundup
of my favorite fall
outfits and illustrations and start this new season with new resolutions and exiting projects.
A neck scarf can
take a basic
outfit and gives it a whole
lot of personality!
It
took me two sessions and
lots of swearing to shoot this
outfit, as my remote simply won't respond no matter how many times I change the batteries or threaten with abandonment.
It was a very jam packed couple
of days filled with
lots of sight seeing and hanging out at some
of our favorite spots around L.A. Playing host and hostess didn't leave much time for
taking outfit pics, so we snapped this quick pic during one
of our outings on Sunday.
A
lot of changes have
taken place in my life in the last few weeks and since they impact the blog, and since there are a
lot of family friends back home who read the blog and are interested in what's going on, I felt like I should give a little life update before I get back into
outfit photos.
Rebecca is not afraid to
take a fashion risk and her
outfits are all about layering
lots of bright colors and bold fabrics all at once.
It would
take a
lot of lessons to get me capable
of making a head to toe
outfit.
Over the weekend my husband and I got to
take a quick trip to NYC (more on that later) and I wore this
outfit out for Sunday brunch and a little shopping, plus a
lot of window shopping, on the Upper East Side.

Lots of street style stars have been pairing athletic shoes with über - chic
outfits, but always
takes trends a step further.

lot of sweatpants.
I really meant to

lot of nice pictures
of the hotel and area, along with a bunch
of outfit photos....
Us models were all photographed in our
outfits individually, and then we also
took some photos together as a group... and we had a
lot of smiles and laughs during the fun!
I failed at
taking pictures
of a
lot of the
outfits I wore so it didn't get mentioned much.
Being creative with how you can pull
outfits together in different ways is always a
lot of fun, and sometimes all it
takes is a pretty headpiece to tie a whole look together.
I haven't had a
lot of time to
take outfit photo's.
Fun accessories like clutches or jewelry are light, don't
take up a
lot of space, and are a great way to
take an
outfit from day to night.
I love that you do not
take fashion to serious and admit that maybe you will laugh at some
of the looks and trends you love today when looking back at them in ten years:) You look beautiful in this

outfits because obviously the best lighting is during the day, but I just had to

of my favorite winter night

Today I'm wearing my favourite long dress for this summer 2015, one
of my favourite summer
outfit ideas totally made in Italy, full
of colors and suitable for a
lot of events: from wedding (

outfit idea) to pool party, from formal events to party on the beach, can't wait to be on the beach barefoot and dance all night with friends!
It was nice
taking a step back to focus on other aspects
of my life, despite missing my blog schedule... Needless to say, I'm back at it and ready to share
lots of new
outfits in the next couple
of weeks!
Despite all
of this, a New Year's Eve
outfit doesn't
take a
lot of thought.
There is nothing better than poppies; I should have
taken photos
of lots of outfits there, not just this one, for future use!
I do have a
lot of more formal office clothes though, so I'm
taking the weekly Workwear Wednesday post as an opportunity to wear my nicer work
outfits.
Why: It
takes a
lot of effort for me to work navy blue into an
outfit, let alone pink — and purple!
I think a
lot of it has to do with the fact that since I
take my blog photos ahead
of time, my mood may change or conditions change where I can't wear the exact
outfit I blogged (like I'm traveling, or it's my girl time...) Then when you add in Friday
outfits (since on Friday I do random roundups) and my weekend
outfits, they multiply pretty quickly!
I know a
lot of bloggers use this technique but i haven't gotten used to it, I've always
taken my photos the day i wear my
outfits but I've been busy with a
lot lately that I've started trying out the multi
outfits in one day technique.
And while I like the idea
of the black and white
outfit, you
took each element
of the first
outfit and made it more conservative for the second, so this one looks a
lot older.
I have been looking for stylish waterproof sandals because my plain rubber flip flops just don't seem to add any pizzaz to my poolside and beachgoing
outfits, especially while we're on vacation and

Sometimes there is just no one around to

lot of times these
outfits don't even make it to the blog because sponsored posts
take priority, which means mostly new
outfits are blogged.
I don't really have a whole
lot of excuses besides the fact that I haven't been feeling my best which has made me so lazy, also I had been working and now I have to
take some time off because I will be having surgery due to some complications I've been experiencing; nevertheless, I'm here and I have a few
outfit posts and collaborations that I'm working on as well as a few other things.
It

lot of courage for me to go for an
outfit like this, but I am glad I did
For the most part, I dress quite minimally so I rely on accessories a
lot to give an
outfit that extra bit
of polish and character that
takes it from basic to styled.
