Samsung switched to a new and smaller non-removable battery and did away with the ability to add internal storage by
taking away the
microSD card slot.
Bottom line: I will NEVER buy a phone that lacks a
microSD slot and / or a fixed battery (Yeah, I can
take apart phones and replace a defective or damaged part.
The bottom has the micro-USB port and speaker grille, the right has the power and volume buttons, the left has the hybrid SIM tray which
takes either two SIM cards or one SIM and one
microSD card, and the top has the 3.5 mm jack.
Not only does it provide for expansion... but it means you can use a
microSD card in a digital camera,
take photos, and then pop the card into the Kobo to view, edit, upload, etc..
