Ive noticed in many of these kitchen photos, they people take the stove and the fridge.
The living room is at the back of the house, and connects to the entryway (where that pink tile is peeking out on the far left of the photo above), the kitchen (at the back of the photo, with the wallpaper and wainscoting), the backyard (through the windows... obviously), and the master suite and an additional guest suite (through a little vestibule where this photo was taken).
It took some convincing, but my husband liked the inspiration photos I found online of beautiful kitchens with shiplap.

When we painted the kitchen and family room a few weeks ago I took the slipcovered wingback chairs that were in this room (you can see photos of this room with those chairs here) I decided to try switching the sets of chairs because I really liked how the slipcovered ones looked against the new darker gray mantel in the family room.
