But I'm really here today to
talk about an avocado, oat and nut breakfast porridge that I discovered during that honeymoon phase of eating raw foods.
This week, Abigail at The Soul of Health is

As I said, we talked about the bananas,
we talked about the avocados, now the next thing I want to talk about is rice cereal.
You talk about avocados containing healthy monounsaturated fat, but you never mention that their ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acids is 15 or 16 to 1... definitely not good.
I know, I know... when do I ever stop
talking about avocados and guacamole.
And, since we are

I live in Santa Barbara, and some friends and I were just
talking today
about how the
avocados have been disappointing recently around here.
I'm not
talking about the spoonfuls of almond butter you slather on everything (totally normal), or the amount of times you've let an
avocado go bad (totally normal too), I'm
talking Natural Body Care and what you slather on that gorg skin of yours.
We giggle, make food and
talk about nerdy stuff, coffee, butter +
avocados all.
My husband keeps
talking about wanting us to make
avocado ice cream and this recipe looks like the best... but we don't have a kitchen scale.
Let's
talk about the health benefits of
Avocados:
Last night I made chocolate mousse with cacao powder,
avocados, dates, vanilla and coconut cream — all whipped to a frenzy in my thermomix — but you could probs do it in that «magic bullet» thingo you
talk about....
Let's not forget to
talk about this homemade
avocado crema.
Whole food, plant - based fats from
avocados, nuts, seeds, coconut, olives, and olive oil are the good fats or healthy fats that we're
talking about here.
I am
talking about crunchy tortillas slathered with refried beans and topped with
avocados, scrambled eggs, red onions, salsa and Mexican Cotija cheese.
It's worth repeating that we are only
talking about healthy fats which can be found in olive or coconut oil,
avocados, almond butter, seeds, nuts, flaxseed oil etc..
In my video, I
talked about, you know, if you are a smart vegan where you're not emphasizing a lot of the grains, you're doing safer starches, you're getting lots of fats from
avocado, olive oil, coconut oil, you're supplementing DHEA in the form of algae, right?
So, if you're gonna try this approach, I would highly recommend making sure you're hydrating well, uhm — consuming a lot of trace mineral rich foods, a lot of the foods that we already
talked about, fermented foods, Olives,
Avocados, sea vegetable, uhm — wild - caught fish, wi — pasture - raised animal products, very rich in trace minerals.
I met up with my pal Whitney English, Registered Dietician, and we
talked all
about plant - based eating plus we made buddha bowls the included
avocado and green pepper.
And I'm NOT just
talking about the obvious healthy fats that you hear
about in the news all the time, such as almonds, walnuts,
avocados, fish oil, and our beloved olive oil... all of those examples ARE definitely healthy and contain loads of beneficial nutrients that can help you to live longer, healthier, and leaner...

I did all that (and still do) by eating unlimited calories and fat: butter, bacon, eggs, cheese, hamburger, broccoli, cauliflower,
avocado... and when I say unlimited, I'm
talking about a 1/2 pound to a full pound of butter a day... MINIMUM.
So when I
talk about dietary fats, I'm referring to natural, unprocessed fat, found in whole foods like seeds, nuts, butter, olives,
avocado, coconut oil, raw cacao or cacao butter.
I have an allergy to
avocados (I don't like to
talk about it...) and tend to be in school literally all day (I've been known to get home at nine or ten pm) so meals are hard to plan around.
Also, I'm always surprised to hear newly - hooked on healthy friends of mine
talk about eating tons of
avocados and PB.
