Perhaps it seems like over-thinking to quibble with the ideological
talking points of a movie that mostly dawdles from one skit or cameo to another, interspersed with the occasional song - and - dance number, and which contains one of the best comic set pieces of the Coens» career: a director and his recently re-cast lead trying to work through a single awful line of dialogue («Would that it were so simple») while filming a turgid melodrama.

of watching dogs
talk and interact as if they had a frontal lobe.
Vince Vaughn, he
talks fast, almost to the
point of his words becoming gibberish, and he does this in every

points to how utterly backwards it was for Warner Bros. and DC to do the team - up

of the team at all in any way.

of those falls, in particular, near the end
of the
movie is responsible for one
of the most breathtakingly gorgeous scenes
of violence I've ever witnessed and is sure to be a
talking point for everyone who sees the film.
The package gets bonus
points not only for including a chapter insert, but making it part
of a worthwhile 4 - page booklet that
talks at length about the
movie's production, reception, makers, and cast connections.

of countless viewers that may get an infectious kick out

Todd: I would suggest this
movie struck a chord because fashion is less the
point (though I think looking at the film through the lens
of food and fashion yields plenty
of rewards) than it is the vehicle to
talk about something Hollywood loves: the difficulty
of being in a relationship with a demanding person.

The failure
of big budget
movies like Baywatch was one
of the summer's big
talking points last year, but it seemed as if Johnson was refusing to acknowledge that his
movie simply wasn't very good.
But one
of the weirdest has become a hot
talking point after the release
of the
movie, despite a relatively brief appearance — and actually getting that appearance filmed seems like it was...
The
movie doesn't have anything to say about that part
of the story, except to have a
talking head on the news flat - out say it so that we get the
point.
And here's where Boyhood becomes a special case: More than almost any
movie I can think
of, the emotional and fascinating story
of how it was made is practically part
of its plot; it doesn't need to be sold as a campaign
talking point because it's manifest in every frame.
I was hoping he would do better than just repeat the Gates - funded PR campaign
talking points on the
movie, since he had cut right to the bone in his review
of «The Providence Effect» the previous year.
Rather than
talk about the root causes or psychological aspects
of these events, Grossman instead took the opportunity to
point blame at «the sick
movies and sick TV shows and especially sick video games around the planet that are creating sick, sick kids.»
Unless I'm missing the
point of what they're actually
talking about... although I don't recall any
movie studios making a statement like «We're making new
movies for people who don't like
movies.»
