Modern - day research confirms the traditional wisdom of our ancestors in using
tallow for skin care.
I adapted a recipe from Beyond Bacon for pie crust that normally uses lard (and I did make a couple extra pie crusts using grass - fed beef
tallow for savory meat pies later on!)
In the book, we recommend the use of animal fats such as beef
tallow for cooking, and recommend that pregnant women and vegetarians supplement with choline.

tallow for frying... talk about good seasoning!).
It is possible, however, to mix emu oil with other ingredients or even
tallow for the best of both worlds.

Tip: you can reuse your beef
tallow for a later date as long as you keep the oil under 350 ° F and it doesn't smoke.
Not exact matches
For old - school shaving purists,
tallow based shaving soaps are the only way to go, as these are about as traditional as it gets.
While glycerin may be a good choice
for lotion or regular soap, most people find the majority of glycerin - based soaps to be inferior to those made of

To cook, either heat some
tallow, coconut oil or butter in a pan and cook eggplant pieces
for 2 - 3 minutes per side until starting to soften, or oil a large baking sheet and place all egg plant on it and bake in a 400 degree oven

Tallow, or pure beef fat, is a stable and natural saturated fat that is perfect

tallow fat is typically 50 to 55 percent saturated, just like our cell membranes, with almost all of the rest being monounsaturated, 21 so it makes sense that it would be helpful
for skin health and compatible with our cell biology.
