There's a local
juice bar here
in Atlanta that mixes chia seeds into
tangerine juice and lets it soak.
Because citrus is
in season and I'm obsessed with
tangerine flavor lately, I started there with lots of zest and a little
tangerine juice for the base of the dressing.
2 cups fresh squeezed
tangerine juice 1 1/4 cups sugar (plus 1/4 cup more if needed, adjust to your taste of sweetness) 2 cinnamon sticks, broken
in half 2 12 oz bags fresh unsweetened cranberries, rinsed zest from 2
tangerines 2 Jonagold or Gala apples, peeled and diced 2 tablespoons water 2 teaspoons corn starch
Heat about 1/2 cup of the
tangerine juice with the sugar
in a small, heavy pot over low heat.
You can use
tangerine or orange
juice in this recipe.
Whisk oil, cranberry
juice concentrate, vinegar, and reserved
tangerine peel
in small bowl to blend.
Prepare the glaze:
In a bowl, combine garlic, ginger,
tangerine juice, pineapple, soy sauce and hot pepper flakes.
Whisk shallot, vinegar, reduced
tangerine juice, and half of jalapeño
in a medium bowl; season with salt and pepper.
Add

While the bunds are baking, prepare the syrup:
in a small pot, gently melt sugar
in the
juice you get by squeezing 4
tangerines.
Tangerines and mandarins, which are high
in vitamins A and C as well as calcium and potassium, are generally eaten as a fresh fruit, but may also be processed into
juice and used
in beverages and cocktails.
Stir
in the pomegranate and
tangerine juices until thoroughly blended.
