Made
from walnuts,
cocoa powder, dates, and a few other tasties, these won't
taste like protein bars, but they're healthy, protein - rich, and raw, too!

from Australian Gourmet Traveller 300g dark chocolate (58 %
cocoa solids), coarsely chopped — I used 70 % 200 ml heavy cream 1 tablespoon orange - blossom water *, or to
taste 1/2 cup (70g) pistachio kernels, lightly toasted and coarsely chopped 1/2 cup (45g) Dutch - process
cocoa powder, sifted Combine chocolate and cream in a medium saucepan, stir over low heat until melted and smooth (4 - 5 minutes), stir through orange - blossom water and 50g pistachios.

taste to it
from cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and cinnamon - one of my favorite combinations for baked goods & smoothies!
So I hedged my bets by using half Scharffen Berger Sweetened
Cocoa Powder (an accidental purchase truthfully as it contains only
cocoa and sugar, and I would just as soon buy unsweetened and sweeten it to
taste) and half GODIVA Chocolatier Milk Chocolate Hot
Cocoa, which had been a gift, and while it is intended to be mixed with milk, I thought the extra creaminess and, well, milkiness
from the milk chocolate might counterbalance the bare bones sweetened
cocoa.
The chocolatey
taste comes
from cocoa powder, so no corners cut there.
Hot

I have reduced the quantity of sugar and chocolate
from the original recipe, replaced some of the chocolate with
cocoa powder to reduce
from the number of calories and still don't affect the
taste.

from the freezer, peels removed (unfrozen bananas will work; freezer time will increase) 3 tb unsweetened
cocoa powder 1/2 cup plain, unsweetened nondairy milk, preferably almond 1/4 tsp salt (NOT optional) Optional ingredients: 1/2 tsp vanilla (brings out sweetness), 1 tb clear liquor (makes them a bit softer), added sweetener to
taste (I did not need!)
The rich chocolate
taste comes
from both
cocoa powder and some dark chocolate chips.
My secret is to put it on yogurt with a little
cocoa powder... makes it
taste like «worms in dirt «

The fudgie cookie

But even though it's invisible to the naked eye, the
cocoa powder can't hide
from the
taste buds.
