Imagine if Connecticut's elected and appointed officials actually stopped denigrating teachers, the
teaching profession and public schools and started listening to teachers and providing the resources necessary to improve educational outcomes, especially for Connecticut children living in poverty, facing English language challenges or
requiring special education services.
In particular,
special education teachers, who often
teach small classes of students with the most severe disabilities, may have very small numbers of students with which to calculate value - added; they may even have fewer than the minimum
required by the state.
Post Baccalaureate students interested in adding Early Childhood /
Special Education Licensure to an existing
teaching license can complete courses
required for an 1809 license.
