Argumentative writing is a piece of critical thinking skills that are being
taught to help students prepare for college and careers.
This isn't a bad assignment necessarily, and, in fact, it could prove to be a great scaffold if I were
teaching students persuasive or
argumentative writing.

argumentative essay as they are not
taught of how to
write this type of essays during their past academic life.
