The new proposals look to set up a specific point of
contact at local councils for parents and
teachers in order to raise concerns about a child, as well as introduce new measures to discover how many children are being home - schooled
beyond the reach of inspectors.
Whether through FaceTime, hangouts, Skype, e-mail, or Twitter posts,
teachers are
contacting others to knock down the 4 walls of their classrooms and allow students to see
beyond their current worlds.
While the list highlights some truly exceptional people, the truth is of course that the hard work of any
teacher can have ripples that are felt
beyond the lives of the pupils they come into
contact with.
This weekly
contact kept me connected with preservice
teachers beyond the classroom and supported interaction around issues of importance to the preservice
teachers.
