Of course, pieces of this — particularly the scripted questions — might be relevant for portions of the day when
teachers might bring students together to have group
conversations that deepen the
learning, but planning to control all the activities minute by minute in a blended -
learning environment is a non-starter.
My recent encounters in Reggio Emilia in April with pedagogical documentation prompted this question: How can we
learn more about the images our
teachers hold of assessment through documenting professional
conversations about assessment practice?

What made this experience unique was our opportunity as
teachers to read the anonymized transcript of the student
conversation and process together the implications for teaching and
