Putting her in charge of the Department of Education really is an insult to all of the many

and so many Americans who have come through our public schools, who have had a chance in this economy to make it in their lives in part due to this commitment of America to public schools, which we need to invest in more versus the sort of alternatives that Betsy DeVos has pushed, including charter schools that have sucked billions
out of our public education system
and that have resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars of fraud.
Together, PASA, the Providence Public School District, partner schools,
and the community of program partners have developed shared goals, a collaborative practice of community
educators within the school day,
and joint accountability through a PASA / District shared learning model that includes
teacher and community
educators co-teaching, a data - sharing agreement,
and the creation of an expanded learning model that offers high school credits for high quality
out - of - school experiences.
After four days of non-stop conversation with Finnish
and US
educators about
teacher preparation, student voice, curriculum development, special education
and parent engagement, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed that I know so little about the habits of leadership that have grown
out of Finland's self - named education «miracle.»
