Since the first few years of experience are so important, we decided to take a closer look at how uncertified and AC teachers fare against traditionally certified
teachers at different levels of teaching experience.
A variety of factors were considered when establishing the teams; each team would comprise
teachers at different levels of experience and from different content areas.
Not exact matches
We're all
at different levels and I know that
teacher would say exactly the same thing — we all have to start somewhere!

Consistent with Wixson and Dutro's (in press) recommendations, they found New York State standards reflected the national standards in orientation to reading process and learning, and actually went beyond national standards to provide a
level of specificity that helps
teachers know what students should know and be able to do
at different developmental
levels.

Additionally, based upon classroom observations,

Many school systems have gotten the message that they need to be more data driven, and they are now awash in data - not just yearly student test scores, but figures on how
different groups of students are doing in particular subjects or grade
levels, how successful a school is
at attracting and retaining
teachers or closing the achievement gap among disadvantaged students, or how equitable funding is from school to school.
Programs produce
teachers at both the undergraduate and graduate
levels, and they train students to teach
different subjects, grades, and specialties.
The same concept applies to using differences in
teachers» measured performance across
different sections (e.g.
at the secondary
level, where
teachers often teach multiple sections of the same subject) to gauge the extent to which measurement error may lead to inaccurate assessments.

teachers also gain experience teaching from a
different syllabus or to a
different level than that
at their own school.
As the leader of the innovation team (a group of eight
teachers representing
different grade
levels), Koenig shares student - tested projects
at faculty meetings to encourage
teachers to use the makerspace.
However, districts could lose all that additional funding if any particular school site exceeds the required class size, unless school officials have negotiated a collective bargaining agreement with their
