Peggy Garland, CNM, MPH is a retired midwife who worked for 30 years in home and hospital births, participated in maternity care research,
taught midwifery students in a variety of settings and held many leadership roles in professional advocacy for midwives at the national and state level, including with MANA and NACPM.
