I guess Ms. Knust first forgot to read 1 Timothy 3:2 «A bishop (Pastor) then must be blameless, the HUSBAND of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;» It amazes me how people over the past 20 years want everything to be equal, including a position of Pastor.

Just like going to a restaurant is a nice change of pace to get fed on a lazy day and get some food you wouldn't get at home... (2) I think we want to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, and meeting with other Christians on Sundays helps us with that — singing together, fellowshiping, etc. (3) Sunday mornings can be one of the places where the pastor gets to teach people how to feed themselves.

Too many pastors want to do all the feeding and never teach people how to feed themselves.

-- Children should be taught this: I was — by a pastor no less, leaving a church, about the age of ten and told how important it was; I never forgot it and practice it to this day, even so I would rather not shake hands at all.

I am thankful for my salvation and my pastor who continually leads and teaches our congregation how to live lives set apart so that we can be see the blessing of such a life.
