That's not to say that the competitive,
team -
based and co-op multiplayer
modes (for 2 — 8 players) aren't enjoyable or engaging.
Ghost War also integrates new PvP mechanics, including suppressing fire and sound markers, to create a strategic and intense

based multiplayer
mode.
As always, the maps play a huge role in shaping the pace and tactical opportunities in both deathmatch and
team -
based modes, and while the assortment of maps are visually somewhat underwhelming, the folks at Infinity Ward consistently create interesting spaces in which to play.
For Honor offers the player a chance to experience a melee
based combat system in either a 1 vs. 1 battle or by
teaming up with a co-op partner in a variety of different multiplayer
modes.
Versus play options, which support up to six players, include the requisite
team deathmatch and
base defence
modes, which are fun if not remarkable additions.
There is a

mode we were playing, which is the main multipalyer
mode, there are two
teams and each has a
base which is guarded not only by the
team's players, but also by artillery.
We also got a glimpse at a multiplayer
mode called Warzone, which has two
teams fighting to capture
bases with some AI mixed in for good measure.
A
mode which offers

based battle between skaters who are restoring life to the city while the Ministry are to foil their efforts.

mode named Archon has also been added in which two players
team up to control a single
base, and a new matchmaking queue means you can also play this

mode and try to knock someone down, then just build around this person and finish the poor guy with a trap.
As of now, there are three game
modes: Capture, which sees two
teams fighting over three objective points, Meltdown, which tasks both
teams to help their minions reach an enemy incinerator to score points, and Incursion, where
teams try to destroy mechs at their opponents
base with the help of AI units.
Opening and closing doors in particular can be almost completely ignored if you aren't playing an objective -
based team game, since there's no real need to restrict the enemy
team from an area of a map in a deathmatch
mode.
In this
mode, players can summon weapons, vehicles, and power - ups, and customize their loadouts, but this is tempered by the
team's «REQ Level,» which starts at level one and grows
based on the
team's overall success.
Raid — Is another
mode in a similar vein to those above, requiring players to work in
teams to steal a case from the opposing
team's
base.
