Failure shouldn't necessarily be blamed on transfers. It's part of the reason but is not the only reasons.Other clubs which can't even buy like Arsenal have won very good trophies.Even at those times we were
in debt we had a good
team capable of winning the EPL or winng some of the smaller trophies. But we just went on trophyless. Now we are almost debt free and we are promised glory but honestly we don't even have the hope of glory. The only thing that can save us is renewal of the mind of the manager and board. That will bring a positive change. It's only insanity to keep doing the same thing and expect different results. We have a lot to prove out there to the
world because the greatness of Arsenal has really gone down
in the face of the
world. They only see us as a
team with good
football that's all.The
world doubts us and we have a point to prove. The values of a club is as important as winning trophies. If not Arsenal wouldn't have been this top club that people talk about everyday were it fpr only values or trophies. They go hand
in hand.However, to the
world trophies are very important and that fact can not be hidden.

No we have not been relegated and yes there are other
teams worse of, but
with revenue the 7th largest
in world football surely the club should be doing more.
It's obvious for me that arsenal need 4 players to become a
world class
team like bayern and real madrid i couldn't dare mention barcelona because they have unbelievable front three and they maybe the best attack
in history of
football we are lacking quality
in the ST as well as the RW of course giroud and campvell are very good players but
in my opinion they are less
in quality than the rest of the
team so we need to improve the quality
in these positins About the DM it's a number issue and i think the position is covered
with flamini doing good job and elneny coming which can be deployed there About the fourth signing we need is a center back I don't think i saw till now enough minutes for gabriel to tell if he can make the position his own or not But what makes me doubt him that wenger didn't choose him till now over per which means he is not miles ahead of him so i think we need a new better CB This
team can go and fight for every thing even the champions leafue....
Tactically Wenger is not on par
with the current leading managers
in world football fact, but if we are discussing the
team mentality then isn't it true that players tend to reflect the attitude of the managers, if we look at the leading managers how many of them sit down holding themselves instead of getting up to spur there
team on, how many of them are critical about individual player performances as well as
team performances, Wenger either cheers them on or does nothing, he may say that he still has passion and desire for the club and that maybe true, but rarely does that passion and desire become apparent, particularly on the pitch.
Let's get real here.It is very unlikely that ANY professional player will ever say anything derogatory about a teammate that has just left the club.If Jack had said about Coq - «Grew up playing
with him
in the Youth
Team and have fond memories of a player they though he had very limited ability he always gave his all.Very surprised and disappointed the club never invested
in a
World Class defensive midfielder that we have quite obviously been lacking for a number of seasons and would no doubt have improved the defensive weakness we have shown over a number of seasons» we would have echoed his thoughts entirely. If he had said about Theo - «A player who should have been so much better than he ended up being. He had everything needed to be a prolific player for our club but I can understand the fans frustrations with his continued lack - lustre performances and total lack of a football brain.I think this is best explained by the managers preference to play a player of such limited ability as Alex Iwobi in front of Theo pretty much says it all» we again would have all nodded our agreement.Although Jack never mentioned Alexis Sanchez I would imagine something along the lines of «If the Manager had not persisted with players with such limited ability such as Francis and Theo and instead bought the world class players needed into the club then Sanchez would still most likely be here. The fans must wonder what the hell goes on at the club as they pay fortunes for the privalage of following our club but it seems the millions generated ends up purchasing a new Texas Ranch for the Owner or in a yearly renumeration of # 9million pounds to our manager&ra

Are some of you on here missing a few brain cells as fans There is nothing Arsenal or Wenger can do
with the Sanchez situation He wants to leave and has been offered 400k a week
in wages who
in their right mind is going to turn that down as a player As for blaming wenger who has been our most successful manager helped us build a stadium gave us 20 years of cl
football and some of the best
teams the ol has seen Including the invincible and you all have the Gaul to trash the man as if he has done nothing for the club I suggest you should look at the plastic fans
in the Arsenal blogs that have created a toxic atmosphere at the club They attack their own players
in a daily basis why would any top player come to s club where the manager the owners and players are shamelessly attached constantly Yet Wenger wins trophies regularly even them that is derided Look at Spurs Liverpool they win fuk all every year yet their fans back then Look at yourselves and all the negativity that you have created striking the club before you blame Wenger for everything I have been a season ticket holder since the 70s and never have I seen our fanbase been so full of entitled morons who have stopped backing the club and constantly deride the club snd attack it We have the worst fanbase
in football you have made this great club a lagging stock
in world football All you now us fans constantly moaning If you don't like Arsenal fc then buy out kronke and run the club or fuk off and support someone else You won't be missed Coyg
Not expert enough against top

football... Just watch his passing to players
with no option but to boot loose ball or pass back... It is truly shocking... so yes unless you're a 4th place junkie mert should be a bench player just like for Germany

total failure... Can you believe Wenger spent 32 millions on 2 average players (Chambers and Welbeck) and is penny pinching when is sbout real class players? What is
in his mind?Pay a fortune
in salary for mediocre players live Walcott, Ramsey and Wilshere and have hesitations about increasing Sanchez wages... keeping on books failures like Sanogo... The truth is - I say it for years and years - until the «British core» disapears, we are not going to be succesful. The low quality of British players is dragging the
team back.Last time Arsenal was a powerhouse NONE of the first 11 was British.Wanna see how the British quality looks like
in a
football team - look no further than national sides of England, Scotland, N Ireland, Wales, even Ireland (not British but same style)- all mediocre
teams «able» to be defeated by any
team coming to mind. And you are asking about Chambers? He is
in the same mold like Wilshere,Walcott,Ox,Ramsey,Gibs,Jenkinson - mediocre overpriced and overpaid players. The
world is full
with hungry, ambitious and skilled players living
in poverty and dreaming of moving to the top at any cost or sacrifice (did you see the poor house - if you can call that house, looking more like an old tent -
in which Alexis Sanchez grew up?Or Suarez?)
It's the toughest league
in the
world,
with teams playing very high paced
football.
Joining a club of arsenal s stature has its ups and downs. There is a requirement of how our players should perform when on the pitch. The following is a list of players who were wrong to choose arsenal.Aaron ramsey - Even though he is the most favoured of all players at the club now.I cant help but think how it would have gone for Him if he decided to search for other greener pastures. He was a clear talented
footballer during his time at cardiff but he hasnt been raised
with the discipline at arsenal. You can always see ramseys all round strengths but sadly Its not helping him or the club
with his foward moving pleasurr. He is so Over used and its sometimes difficult for him to get used to the rythm of the game.
With time you realise he gets low ib confidence and his engine gets wasted. He needed somebody who would have managed him properly and
with care and that person is certainpy not wenger. You would have been better off at Manu mate.Calum chambers - Came us a very talented player from southampton
with raw talent. He was very good at first but wenger found a way to reduce his level of confidence. His inexperience was left exposed and wenger did nt do anything to resolve that problem and instead He looked for other talented players.Alex oxlade chamberlain - Another very talented player who needed only his skilled sharpened and his character modelled. That and he was ready to become a
world beater. But wenger decided to let him run and run like a headless chicken causing him to be often injured and damaging his confidence.Who knows what would have happened to him gad he decided to look for more greener pasture. He is surely a much better player than this.Theo walcott - Another player who was tipped to have a very bright future. He had it
in him.But all he needed was an appropriate manager who would nurture him
with discipline and help him
with his talent. But on Coming to arsenal he was given Much more responsiblities putting more weight on his shoulders on top of that another player who was recklessly managed
with his talent and never coming off age because his character wasnt properly shaped.Mesut ozil - Al right i agree he perfoms well just recently. But imagine all the legendary players he was often compared to during his time at real madrid. On coming to arsenal he found no rotation often overused, suffered many injuries and his confidence dwindled. It is pretty clear arsene does not take any responsibility for players. And when at arsenal you have to be your own manager. You need not rely on your manager otherwise you might continue being the same player for the next many years. That is why each and every player are what they are because of their own efforts and wenger had nothing to do
with it.Van persie was the same player for over 7 years untill he himself decided to change.Wenger only organises and prepares tge
team while the rest is
in your court. It is not what so many people make it out to be.Thats why we need to pressure wenger more than our own players. They are their own self managers and wenger needs to take that responsibility
We should design the biggest protesting plan that the
world of
football has ever seen, we should show the
world that even
in the era that money and billionaires are trying to corrupt
football, fans still can take control, when we don't buy tickets or any merchandises the board wont profit, Emirates Stadium should be filled
with very few people all holding banners
with «Kroenke out» written on it, we should use ArsenalFanTV to destroy Kroenke, we have the tools, we should just use them
in the right way and then we will defeat Kroenke, from last season i stopped buying anything Arsenal related and just watched Arsenal getting trashed by
teams and it just made me extremely sad!!!
Wenger soon will say that «I could have stay home and manage the
team from my bedroom», but «I am gracing you
with my presence on the touchline, so be grateful, keep quiet and pay the most expensive ticket
in world football, you «mugs»...»
Honestly, paulinho is a disgrace to a midfield that once boasted of xavi deco etc As for the others I don't think details are necessary, the bottom line is that for a board
with a sporting director Barca made a huge mistake
in allowing lucho sign such players (he wasn't responsible for paulinho but he gave them such ideas), from now on we should keep a group of
world class players (like RM), coaches who Believe
in our PHILOSOPHY only should come and use these players to give us our
football back, valverde is not successful because of messi only, he is successful because the core of this
team is a group of the most technically gifted and intelligent players
in the
world, the board knows this and so do RM, that's why we are chasing players like fdj, deligt, and even alaba, because once this core of la masia talent is gone we would be useless if there are no adequate replacements, this board must continue signing replacements for our core and for once!
Yes we have improved we have become more aware we have started to show some maturity when facing the top dogs and that's the difference between us this season and us getting SMASHED by all of the top
teams last season and if you watch
football you can see that the city side are not a patch on their former selves nor Liverpool nor even chelski, we are NOT another 49 unbeaten squad not yet and not for a while until the improvements are made, Yea credit where its due of course but lets NOT RUN AWAY
WITH THE IDEA WE ARE
WORLD BEATERS JUST YET EH, AKB's are the reason we'll never improve as a fan base because they can see NO wrong
in anything the board or AW does, Im no AOB but I do see the need for self criticism and improvement and at BIGGUN its not a ridiculous statement at all we have improved but they have also been off the ball and that why we're having a good run.
of course no
team wants to lose but I can guarantee you that the reaction by the Chelski fans after today's results are nowhere near what would have occurred if we shit the bed on opening day... the difference is they have tasted EPL success on more than one occasion recently, they have won the Champions League and they have done it
with 3 different managers
in the last 12 years
with a similar, if not smaller, wage bill than us...
in comparison, we have been experiencing our own personal Groundhog Day
with nothing to show for it but a few silvery trinkets that would barely wet the appetite of a
world - class club... so it's time for Wenger to stop gloating over our week one escape act and make some substantial moves before this window closes or I fear that things will take a horrible turn when the inevitable happens... living on a knife's edge is no way to go through a full season of
football and regardless of what side of the argument you fall on, you could feel high levels of toxicity
in the air and that was friggin week one... I would much rather someone tried their best and failed, than took half - measures and hoped for the best
Money should not matter
in football, but the
team commitment and system are valuable, proven by Ranieri and Leicester City when they won the Premier League
with very minimum resources (compared to the resouces of the fifth richest club
in the
world, Arsenal).
My fellow gunners Wenger is a failure either you admit or not, though this is a preseason match which is less important just to make the players gain fitness, before the competitive matches commence, but at the same time Wenger's tactics and formation should be questioned especially against big
teams, he had conceded numerous goals against big
teams in which today's match is a reflection of what we are talking about, his old and out dated philosophy is no longer valid
in modern
football, no wonder Alexis Sanchez can't confide
in his plans to propel the
team in winning major honours, Wenger still believe
in some of the bunch of fringe players he should have gotten rid of
in the
team and replace them
with world class players or players that are hungry for success like Alexis, anyway there is still much time
in the transfer window presently to do that, if he can change the hands of time and stop being too stubborn.
players like Ozil always present the fans
with a bit of a conundrum, especially when times are tough... if you look around the sporting
world every once
in awhile there emerges a player
with incredible skill, like Ozil, Matt Sundin or even Jay Cutler, who have a different way about themselves... their movement seemed almost too lackadaisical, so much so that it seemed to suggest indifference or even disinterest on the part of the player... their posture always appears somewhat mopey and they generally have an unflattering «sour puss» expression on their face... for some their above average skills are enough to keep them squarely
in the mix, as their respective
teams try desperately to find a way to get the best out of them visa vie player acquisitions or the reworking of tactics... when things go according to planned the fans usually find a way to accept their unique disposition, whereas when things go awry they become easy targets for fans and pundits alike...
in the case of Ozil and Sundin, their successes on the international stage and / or
with their former
teams led many to conclude that if we surrounded such talented individuals
with players that have those skills that would most likely bring the best of these players success would surely follow... unfortunately both the Maple Leafs and our club chose to adopt half - measures, as each were being run by corporations who valued profitability over providing the best possible product on the field... for them, they cared more about shirt sales and season tickets than doing whatever was necessary... this isn't, by any stretch, an attempt to absolve Ozil of any responsibility for his failures on the pitch... there is no doubt oftentimes his efforts were underwhelming, to say the least, but this club has been inept when it comes to providing this prolific passer
with the kind of players necessary for him to flourish...
with our poor man's version of Benzema up front, the headless chickens
in Walcott, the younger Ox and Welbeck occupying wide positions far too often and the fact that Carzola, who provided Ozil
with great service and more freedom to roam, was never truly replaced, the only real skilled outlet on the pitch was Sanchez... remember to be considered a
world - class set - up man goals need to be scored and for much of his time here he has been surrounded by some incredibly inept finishers...
in the end, I'm not sure how long he will be
in North London, recent sentiments and his present contract situation seem to suggest that he will depart at season's end, but how tragic would it be if once again we didn't put our best foot forward and failed to make those moves that could have brought championship
football back to our once beloved club... so when you think about this uniquely skilled player don't be so quick to shift all the blame on his shoulders because he will not be the first or the last highly skilled player to find disappointment at the Emirates if we don't rid the club of those individuals that are truly to blame for our current woes
love your articles galen this just proves the sheer stupidity and arrogance of our manager what are players like ozil and giroud still doing at arsenal after their first season ozil should probably be sold back to shalke
in a soft league and who knows he might play his best
football and it might help
in his national
team form cazorla is a good player but not
world class he can not be classified on the same level against players like silva iniesta and the old arsenal fabregas sanchez is also good but he needs to add more to his game for him to be put on the same level
with world beaters like suarez neymar and bale koscienly is also good but he has too many injury troubles coquelin is a class player but he is not
world class he is good technically but not a dominant midfielder like schneiderlin and fernandinho as for cech he is there among the best keepers and he is the only positive
in this arsenal
team.Needs to work on his distribution though the back four is solid but has alot of light weights strong and powerful foward might find it easy
It days gone by, this might have appeared to be a routine victory for Los Blancos, particularly
with the advantage of playing on home turf, but Atletico under Diego Simeone are a top three
team and boast one of the finest players
in world football in Radamel Falcao.
If this
team with tha addition of Vlaar and Carvalho at about 30m can stay healthy for half a season and Welbeck / Sanchez and Theo perform to expectations as the speediest front three
in world football, I think we can give Chelsea and City a run for all their Oil money!
Hafiz... Name a player
in world football who can «carry a
team like alexis does» and would be content
with a back - up role??
Those who know much about
football and are true to themselves and to the
world at large would know that watching Giroud on TV is the same as watching an average player. The thing is its not his fault that he's average. That's just how some are. That's just how life is but people refuse to get that fact.
In life
in terms of soccer we have average players and
world class players while some fall between the two. That's just how life is.The earlier people accept it the better.Life is just that way so deal
with it.Its agonizing anytime I watch him play and I for one can confidently say that the day he's sold people would not miss him. When he goes to his career would take a downhill that's why I see him as lucky player
with Arsenal just given him 1000's tof chances to score on a silver platter. He would look so normal playing
in an average
team to be honest.
This is a decent article, yet the negatives from fans are still there, I would love to see arsenal like I did at the end of the 90's and at the beggining of the 2nd millennium but it doesn't mean
in order to do so I would buy all the best players
in world, I would get a rich owner to put his filthy money
in, change the manager every 2 years to do so, there's so much wrong
in football nowadays that yes it's still a sport but there's more focus on the filthy amounts of money being spent on clubs and players that I think attracts more attention than the game itself, now that is wrong and it's very wrong, even our owner though not like the arabs or Russians, yet the yank is clueless about the tradition of our game, it's just sad, so the fact that Wenger has remained for this long through all these changes that have occurred whilst the money game has elvolved, it makes me happy that arsenal do not spend stupid amounts of money on players, we don't try and buy the league, hell we even tight
with wages and transfer fees, I'm glad it's like that, though our season ticket is a rip off I still don't mind it because at least we are not like the other supreme
teams, there's a bit of tradition left at our club, yet you go to man shitty or Chelski, there is no tradition, it's all about buying ur way all the way to the top, on the other hand spuds don't know what to make of them besides how the heck have they finished above us?
Caught up
in football's
world of madness however are the Arsenal fans, charged
with paying the highest prices
in the league to watch their
team.
I would just like to see how some of the same moaners and critics managed to keep a club
in the top four of the toughest and most competitive
football league
in the
world, firstly
with less money to spend than most mid-table clubs have had and then
with almost a whole first
team of players unavailable due to a crippling an mysterious run of injury problems.
First, Liverpool fans need to understand the club is not the force it once was, and
with the league structured the way it is,
with rival
teams boasting immense financial reserves,
world - class players, and phenomenal managers, for the foreseeable and immediate future, at least, there is no chance of Liverpool dominating English
football,
in the manner it once did under Shankly and Paisley.
not really making the news, the atmosphere on last wednesday was really strange, silent, step by step to normal
football, but you can't throw away your thoughts immediately, I just got a glimpse of Enkes personality during a film of him shown before the match, I can't realize how hard it must be for his wife to lose him, tomorrow the players of Germans first Bundesliga will wear a black ribbon again, but I think it won't affect the atmosphere like it has
with the national
team despite of Hannover of course, people will be enthousiastic again, but there is the idea of an «Enke donation» which I like, will keep his name alive, will take some positive emotions on this tragedy and a kind of appeal for everyone to reflect the important things of life and control your own behaviour, I hope so at least, and I hope his wife will cope
with that situation, and again: it was really hard for the German nationl
team to play under these circumstances, to lose someone close
in this way is hard to deal
with, on the other hand it causes a close solidarity feeling I think, but of course the
world will not change, things are returning to the old soon, but nonetheless for me this tragedy is a kind of human wake - up call, at least a call and then you continue
Although it can not be denied that Blind could get exposed against better
teams with quicker players — for example, Chelsea — there is not a single
footballer in the
world who does not have a flaw
in his game - except perhaps Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Again, this was only a group stage match, but it was the manner of victory that thrilled the Spurs faithful and will grab the headlines, achieved
with a mature and stylish performance against one of the best
teams in world football.
Team News & Lineups: Real Madrid have taken their full squad for the Club
World Cup and we can expect Zidane to start
with full strength side hoping for a win
in what should be a cracking game of
football.
Le Coq Sportif haven't been very active
in football recently, but fans will certainly remember their recent association
with both Everton and Stoke and that
with the Italian (1982) and Argentine (1986)
World Cup
teams.
Having made his international debut
in 2010, De Bruyne became a Belgium regular during qualification for the 2014
World Cup and
with the tournament
in Brazil looming and the midfielder struggling to start games, national
team manager Marc Wilmots urged him to leave the Blues
in search of first -
team football.
