The U.K. Meteorological Office Hadley Centre (MOHC) took the lead in developing the ocean surface
temperature component of HadCRUT.
The HadSST2 dataset was used in the widely quoted HadCRUT3 temperature record, as well as providing the in - situ sea
surface temperature component of HadISST since 2007.
«We are developing
high temperature components made from ceramic composites with the aim of translating our research from the lab to the field,» he said.
Advances in high -
temperature components and improved system modeling, combined with the potential for conversion costs an order of magnitude lower than those of turbines, suggest that TPV could offer a pathway for efficiently storing and producing electrical power from solar thermal sources, a new study suggests.
As mentioned above, there are a priori reasons to assume d18O records in terrestrial records have
a temperature component.
However, some proxies, like d18O which do have
a temperature component, also have other factors that affect them.
In fact, the warm minimum
temperature component was 590 percent above average, marking the largest warm minimum temperature component on record for autumn or any season (winter, spring, summer, autumn) on record.
Clearly a lot of sampling skill is needed to discount trees that have taken root where subsoil variability comes into play, lest that inhomogeneity of nutrient and water availability blur or wash out
the temperature component.
These projects will extend previous research on high -
temperature components, develop them into integrated assemblies, and test these components and systems through a wide range of operational conditions.
The temperature component is still subject to other confounding factors; the only way that the temperature component will be «strong» instead of «relatively strong» is, again, if those confounding factors can be factored (no pun intended) out.
