role permanent as they
wanted to continue doing
temporary assignments — so this could be the start of the market evolving!
It may be that your employer assumes that, because you accepted a
temporary role, you
want to move on to other things when your initial contract is up.
When it comes to
temporary work, many graduates and interns have never considered temping before,
wanting instead to keep chasing the permanent
role.
If you
want to include
temporary, part - time, consulting, volunteer, or other non-full-time experience on your resume, there are several ways you can include the
roles on your resume.
If you have worked through a
temporary employment agency in the past and
want to feature that work history, it's best to list each
role separately with the name of the company, the position title, and your start and end date, rather than listing the agency as your employer.
As for whether you should apply for the position you
want, I'd say to go for it if you're comfortable with what they're offering: a
role that's maybe
temporary, and maybe more long - term, with no change in pay for at least a year.
