With my determination to stop
dressing so much like a slob I finally decided six months later that I would go with my original idea of wearing this flouncy piece with some trainers and accept the fact that I was going to
look like I was off to play
tennis.
In addition to wearing your favorite
tennis shoes with a pair of jeans or slacks, they also
look great juxtaposed with fancier pieces, like floral
dresses or metallic midi skirts.
I am pretty much in love with them, and I am totally enamored with the
tennis shoes / casual
dress look right now.
I would steer clear from open toed shoes, as they tend to
look less professional than closed toe shoes, but open toed
dress shoes
look better than closed toe
tennis shoes or shoes that don't
look professional.
I wasn't always sure of the
tennis shoes with a
dress look but I think the more and more I wear it, it's growing on me.
This
look is
dressed up for a laid back engagement party, but I've also worn this same
dress with
tennis shoes for an athleisure-esque
look.
The ivory blouse below would
look perfect with some skinny
dress pants and heels, while the pleated sweater would
look cute with boyfriend jeans and
tennis shoes.
