career management of CRS: (1) Identify those researchers who are the best and will make it in long -
term research
careers and retain them; (2) identify those who are not going to make it and advise them appropriately about making a
career outside university research; And (3) ensure that both groups are provided with proper employment conditions, including the opportunity to take a full part in the life of the university.
