Although short
term symptom management is important, the real test
of treatment effectiveness in such disadvantaged populations is whether these changes hold up when support is removed.

treatments for primary care patients with ongoing depression.18 The results showed that acupuncture and counselling were clinically effective in reducing depression in the short to medium
term.

terms how mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal
effectiveness skills augment the more traditional applications
of cognitive behavioral therapy strategies in the
treatment of anxiety.
