WHEREAS, in furtherance
of the united effort to address the
effects of climate change, in 2015 the 21st Session
of the Conference
of the Parties to the UNFCC met in Paris, France and entered into a historic agreement in which 195 nations, including the United States, were signatories and agreed to determine their own target contribution to mitigate
climate change by holding the increase in the
global average temperature to well below 2 °C above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels, among other
terms (the «Paris Agreement»);
Dr Li said the latest research findings give a better understanding
of changes in human - perceived equivalent temperature, and indicate
global warming has stronger long -
term impacts on human beings under both extreme and non-extreme weather conditions, suggesting that
climate change adaptation can not just focus on heat wave events, but should be extended to the whole range
of effects of temperature increases.
... they caution that society should fully quantify direct and indirect GHG emissions associated with energy alternatives and associated consequences prior to making policy commitments that have long -
term effects on
global forests; for they ominously warn «there is a substantial risk
of sacrificing forest integrity and sustainability for maintaining or even increasing energy production with no guarantee to mitigate
climate change.»»
Of course, «the truth,» according to Inhofe, is that climate change is a myth: «The science is still out on what effect CO2 might have in terms of what they call global warming and the science is more on our side than on their side.&raqu

of what they call
global warming and the science is more on our side than on their side.»
I think an addition or subtraction
of say 100 watts per square meter would cause a slow
change in
climate and
global temperature, and humans could easily mitigate the long
term effects fairly easier, or steps could taken to
change our world in some manner if that was seen as needed in the future.

Initially, PED showed backbone, standing up to political activists pushing the state to adopt the Next Generation Science Standards view
of climate change, which promotes the false claims that the science on
climate change is settled, that we know human activities are driving dangerous
climate change, that carbon dioxide is a pollutant that's dangerous to human health and the environment, and that we fully understand how to counteract the
effects of climate change or control long -
term global temperature.
We predicted that an otherwise identical question would (i) elicit lower levels
of existence beliefs when worded in
terms of «
global warming» rather than «
climate change,» and that (ii) this
effect would be more pronounced for respondents who self - identify as Republicans (as opposed to Democrats or Independents) for the reasons discussed above.
The Fifth Assessment Report
of the Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change (IPCC) warns that, despite
global side
effects and long -
term consequences, geoengineering techniques involving solar radiation management (SRM) should be maintained:
Climate change is the long -
term average
of a region's weather events lumped together. There are some
effects of greenhouse gases and
global warming: melting
of ice caps, rising sea levels,
change in climatic patterns, spread diseases, economic consequences, increased droughts and heat waves.
Originally denoted «
climate change skeptics» or «anthropogenic (human - induced)
global warming skeptics», the
term referred to those who are as yet unconvinced by evidence that emissions
of man - made CO2 significantly enhance the natural atmospheric greenhouse
effect.
Global warming and
climate change are
terms for the observed century - scale rise in the average temperature
of the Earth's
climate system and its related
effects.
Using software program Sketch Engine, I looked at how frequently the key corporate
terms «
climate change», «greenhouse
effect», and «
global warming» were used in each year to reveal how patterns
of attention
changed over time.
Mitigation and adaptation are essential to addressing
climate change over the long
term, but over the short to medium
term they will almost certainly be insufficient to protect the world's poorest from the worst
effects of global warming.
Given the huge
climate change in the NH, the net
effect is trivial and fully supports the contention that minor
changes in OHT do not cause long
term synchronous *
global * warming or cooling because they are just * reorganisations *
of the way energy moves around * inside * the
climate system.
We support educating the public and policymakers in government and industry about the harmful human health
effects of global climate change, and about the immediate and long -
term health benefits associated with reducing greenhouse gas emissions (i.e., heat - trapping pollution) and taking other preventive and protective measures that contribute to sustainability.
It assessed the impacts
of civil aviation in
terms of climate change and
global air quality as well as looking at the
effect of technology options for the future fleet.
