State and federal laws require
nursing assistants to take a short course and pass a
basic test in order to become CNAs and thus be permitted to work in
skilled nursing facilities.
• Lighting — general, specialist and emergency back up • Filter changes AHUs / FCUs • Wiring •
Testing + Inspecting — fixed wire and PAT • Alarm systems — fire,
nurse call etc You must also be willing to work on other areas of maintenance such as
basic mechanical or fabric as needed (although there are specific engineers on site with these
skills so it will be infrequent).
