These Windows Insiders have been
testing early preview builds of the OS since early 2015 and now it's time for Microsoft to prove that the Lumia 950 is for them.

Google has just released Android O developer
preview 2, and it looks like we've got an
early beta version for everyone to
test out and enjoy.
Thanks to Android N
preview's
early rollout, app developers can now add memory - and power - saving support, multi-window user interface and new notification features to their apps, as well as
test them on Nexus devices.
Beyond the name, Android N is unique in that Google released a
test version
earlier than normal — offering up a developer
preview in March rather than its past practice of doing so at Google I / O, its annual developer conference.
As you may know, Google
previewed Android L at Google I / O back in June, made it available for download as Developer Preview for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 for
testing purposes (there's also an update available for both devices, you can check it out here), and they will probably release it late - October or
early - November, synchronized with the debut of new Nexus hardware.
Google says this latest
preview version, which has the build number of OPP3.170518.006, is meant for
early adopters and is available for daily use, development, and compatibility
testing.
Users of the Motorola Droid Turbo smartphone have reportedly been invited to take part in an «
early preview of a new software release» or the soak
test Motorola carries out prior to the release of the final version.
This rolled out to some users
earlier in the year but it is also part of the dev
preview so those who wish to install it will still have access to it, and it will give developers a chance to
test their Wear OS apps with the new look.
HMD Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas took to Twitter
earlier today to officially confirm the launch of the Android 8.0 Oreo public beta
test for the Nokia 8, adding that the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 will all be treated to a similar
preview program shortly but without providing a more specific time frame for the availability of subsequent initiatives.
