As it turns out, making a juicy
berry pie is easier
than it looks since a
berry - based filling requires minimal prep work.
I couldn't believe the price of the
pie filling (other
than apple or cherry — I wanted
berry!)

I tend to be the type that prefers to freeze fresh fruit rather
than can it, but you can grab some canning jars and can these
berries for
pies and even to use in smoothies if you prefer.
Whether it's a
pie, fresh peach ice cream, or
berry trifle, these desserts just seem lighter and fresher
than a thick slab of chocolate cake.
It's messy from where I'm standing, and while the cream buns and
berry pies have not quite yet started to fly, I'm thinking it might be sooner, rather
than later.
