While the
trailer for «The Revenant» doesn't say a lot about the plot, it gives more
than enough reason to see it.

trailer does) is also a smart move to draw in men... again, that movie scored higher with men

It's noteworthy that about 33 % of the material to be found in the Bridesmaids
trailer didn't make it into the final cut, which means the original vision of the production must have been a lot longer
than 124 minutes.
Somehow, even the jokes that worked in the
trailer don't work anymore; it's as if the guy who cut the
trailer had more of a knack for timing
than the filmmakers behind this sloppy mess.
This
trailer relies far less upon the monologue from Niels Arestrup
than did the first
trailer, and it rings with a simple cry: «be brave!»

The new
trailer today certainly paints a different picture
than the first teaser
did a few months ago...
Marvel
did the same thing with Spider - Man in the second Civil War
trailer, but they had to begin winning people over to the third iteration of the character in less
than ten years.
To its credit, Warner Brothers knew it was a stinker and invested little in the promotional efforts.The
trailers didn't exactly say «go see this movie,» but screamed «run in the other direction» and in this case, the
trailers provided more
than adequate warning.
The first
trailer for Dark Places, an adaptation for Gillian Flynn's second novel — she didn't write the screenplay for this one, though — was released yesterday and it looks much darker and more true crime - y
than Gone Girl.
While it is obviously a good idea to not reveal too much with the first
trailer, it
does seem clear that Nocturnal Animals is heading down a far more sinister path
than its source material; the 1993 novel Tony and Susan.
But I will see it because the Coens have really only made one film I didn't like (BAR — Which had a
trailer which was MUCH better
than the film itself).
The beast looked better on screen
than he
did in the
trailers for sure.
As demons lay waste to the outside world with fire and brimstone, what else is a group of actors trapped in a house going to
do other
than make a homemade
trailer for a proposed sequel to a movie that the majority of them were in?
This doesn't look any better
than the latest
trailer for Need for Speed, but it still has a slick feel to it that's hard to resist.

The report doesn't mention it, but we found this
trailer online for Alexander's proposed Creed movie that was uploaded in April 2012, more
than a year before MGM announced that Coogler would direct the spin - off film, the costs of which Alexander might tally in his suit seeking «compensatory damages, punitive damages, pre-judgment interest, attorneys» fees and costs.»
Other faux
trailers included «Don't,» «Thanksgiving» and «Werewolf Women of the S.S.,» and while they were all certainly better
than the two main films («Planet of Terror» and «Death Proof «-RRB-, they were never meant to be actual full - length motion pictures (director Robert Rodriguez had different idea with this one, obviously).
They've released a short
trailer online for the film, and while I don't expect it to be much more
than an vanity project for Shatner, I'm still curious.
Judging by its
trailer, the upcoming Battleship has a flimsier claim to the title of that Milton Bradley board game
than Real Steel
does to Rock»Em Sock»Em Robots.

trailers in the last few years, however, is that of the collage method, which aims to
do little more
than show audiences a slideshow of images.
All you really need to
do is skim below and watch the new
trailer for «Catching Fire» and if you're a fan, wondering just how much more awesome
than the first movie it's going to be.
And while the casting debate is a non-starter (not only is Jordan an excellent actor, but he's a great choice for the role), the latest
trailer doesn't exactly fill me with confidence that «Fantastic Four» is going to be any better
than its predecessors.
I don't think it's a particularly good
trailer, painting the movie as much cornier
than it actually is.
I
do like the cast, and for the sake of everyone involved, I hope the actual film proves to be much better
than this
trailer looks.
But while the main premise of «The Intern» doesn't sound very promising, the
trailers for the movie reveal a softer, more emotional side that suggests there may be more to it
than a silly comedy about an old guy working for someone half his age.
A photo gallery, cast & crew biographies, and a
trailer that
does more to explain the film's plot (and with more gore)
than the movie itself
does round out the disc.
Don't get me wrong: the idea of someone performing copycat murders based on an author's work of fiction has potential (even if it's been
done before, most recently in the pilot for the TV drama «Castle»), but there's nothing in the
trailer that suggests the film will be anything other
than a generic whodunit.
For example, the abduction scene runs only slightly longer in the film
than it
did in
trailers.
I didn't think much of it when I read about it, but the
trailer looks a lot better
than I thought it would be.
(Maybe it's the angle, but the Beast appears more... bestial
than he
did in the
trailer.)
Yay for insulting people for no other reason
than you don't like a
trailer!
Rage 2 looks to still be set in the same wild post apocalyptic universe as its predecessor but other
than that the bizarre teaser
trailer that we have for you below doesn't say anything about what to expect.
First off, I think that the cast needs to be congratulated: there were really some touching moments, and I was a lot happier with Ford in the movie
than in the
trailers — I don't mean to sound condescending at all, but the
trailers cut so many things and put them together that I thought the emotion didn't come through very effectively.
Scorsese has always been great with cinema history, but I hope it plays a bigger role in the actual film
than it
does in this
trailer.
The thing that interests me about Hugo (other
than mild curiosity to see if Scorsese
does anything interesting with 3D) isn't even mentioned in the
trailer.
Though the latest
trailer seems to give away an awful lot (seriously, don't watch it), there's clearly much more to the story
than the studio is letting on, and that has me both intrigued and a little worried.
People usually bemoan the lack of a strong human element in big blockbusters like this, but while «Godzilla» aims to remedy that by placing the focus more on them
than the giant monsters
doing battle, the characters are so bland and thinly written (with the exception of Bryan Cranston's scientist, who has a smaller role
than is hinted at in the
trailers) that it only makes things worse.
He uses the camera a lot more
than he
did in previous movies though, especially in the «abandon ship» sequence [which is in the
trailer].
And while the film doesn't arrive for more
than half a year, this first
trailer looks gorgeous — thanks mostly to the fine work of Roger Deakins» replacement, Hoyte van Hoytema (Interstellar, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).

Don't get me wrong — as
trailers indicate, pooch lovers will find an animated nirvana that proves once and for all that man's best friend is far better
than man himself.
Mendes brings a certain level of prestige to the proceedings that the series hasn't had before, and while some were worried about his lack of experience shooting action, the
trailers suggest that he's
done a more
than capable job in that department.
