I think it would be safe to assume that some religious people would be okay with acting less
moral than unbelievers.
It can not be denied that the Christian faith can inspire worldly success, but it is - also an «iron law» of church history that Christians don't seem to handle success any
better than unbelievers.
Similarly, Pastor Mark Driscoll has called stay - at - home fathers «
worse than unbelievers» and has recently released a book claiming that men who fail to be the exclusive providers for their families are a disgrace.
Some Christians continue to characterize fathers who share parenting responsibilities or stay at home with their children as «man fails» and «worse
than unbelievers,» instructing women to intentionally avoid earning more money than their husbands, even if it is less practical for their family to do so, or else they will injure their spouse's ego.
(And the people described as «worse
than unbelievers» in the instructions from 1 Timothy 5 were relatives of widows who were shirking their responsibilities by exploiting the church's provisions for widows.
bible says a man who does nt provide for his own family is worse
than an unbeliever!..
The New Testament teaches that if we do not take care of our family members and relatives, we are worse
than unbelievers (1 Tim.
Paul writes to Timothy, «If anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse
than an unbeliever.»
But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse
than an unbeliever.
