I'd say that more
than any other console before it, the Switch is the perfect format to play retro games, which is why so many people want this done right.

Before they troll you that the Wii wasnt going to sell because it was shit yet when the Wii sells are higher
than the
other consoles they go on saying that the Wii won the war against itself.
If everything goes well (ie: Nintendo ships enough
consoles for that), the Nintendo Switch will outsell the Wii U
before the end of the year... in
other words, in less
than a year!
While this flavour of Minecraft is, for the most part, what you'll find on
other consoles, Tumble and its addictive gameplay drew me in, more so
than almost any custom game I'd played years
before on the PC.
If you're arguing that Halo is only popular because it was daring to be a
console FPS,
before their popularisation,
than you are sorely missing the
other stronger points of the Halo franchise.
Now, Sega has taken to re-release classic arcade games on the PSN (Daytona USA and House of the Dead 3 being the ones
before) and their newest endeavor is none
other than HOtD4, making its first appearance on
consoles, and in this case the PS3.
The gens
before each
consoles had things better
than the
other & vice versa.
For me the game was not simply better
than versions on the
other consoles, but better
than every football video game I'd ever tried
before.
Even as recently as 2013
before the launch of the Xbox One and PS4 there were many analysts who predicted this generation to be much weaker
than the generation previously which ended up damaging some developers outlooks on
console development e.g. Konami, Square Enix and
others.
Millennials are spending more time gaming
than any
other generation
before them and players are still flocking to PCs as well as
consoles to get their fixes.
