franchise has managed to do one thing better

movie: Weave in laughs written for adults with just as much frequency as the stuff meant for kids.

I went into this
movie not knowing a lot
other than it was written and produced by Guillermo del Toro known for
movies as Pan's Labyrinth and the Hell Boy
franchise.
Taking that approach is smart for the X-Men
franchise, making it feel uniquely cinematic and on a different level
than any of the
other superhero
movies it will be competing with.
