I have a pack of the dark
cocoa macaroons sitting
in my desk right now, and I have to say there's no better treat on a cold afternoon
than a hot cup of tea or coffee and an Emmy's macaroon.
Plus, you can add real
cocoa powder or cacao powder rather
than «chocolate flavor» and dyes that can be
in packaged puddings.
Just a heads up: The flavor of this chocolate is definitely more
cocoa than chocolate — it's dense and sweet, but it doesn't taste like the chocolate

If you want to only use half a cup, I would suggest increasing the flour by about 6 tablespoons (flour weighs more

It's rich
in flavor and because it's a dark
cocoa (Dutch - processed), it has less acidity so it's a little less inflammatory to the stomach
than regular
cocoa.
Made with
cocoa powder, and healhier
than the kinds you will find
in grocery stores.
Use whatever chocolate you like best, but try to stick to one with a
cocoa solids content of at least 70 % as it's a bit healthier and lower
in sugar
than the less potent chocolates out there.
