so I reduced the amount of sugar I would normally use, and I probably could have used even less.
It was much lighter
than what I was expecting, and had a pretty dominant
lemon flavor,
so I didn't love it.

than store - bought,
so do yourself a favor and take the extra step.

The coconut really makes this recipe

lemon oil (if you can't find
lemon oil, try using 1 tablespoon of finely grated
lemon zest) 1 teaspoons vanilla extract (I used less vanilla extract
than the original recipe
so it wouldn't compete with the
lemon oil.)
The
lemon and orange zest within it makes it seem lighter
than it truly is,
so fullness kind of creeps up on you - watch out, haha!
Another skin tip that I'm loving, even more
so than the coconut sugar scrub, is applying
lemon juice to my face.
I sent off the majority of the batch with Man - thing, as well as the rest of the poppy
lemon loaf cake from yesterday, to the in - laws, because keeping
so much nom in the house is not always for the best:p The recipe is rather healthier
than most cinnamon roll versions I've come across, especially considering one subs the traditional oil for applesauce.

If you use coconut sugar, just know that it's much darker and
so your
lemon curd will be more brown
than yellow.
I find limes to be stronger
than lemons,
so I'll also make a note about that substitution
I flavor the acidulated water with white wine,
lemon, thyme and garlic to eliminate the need for a dip,
so I more often
than not will fill the hollowed out center with a quinoa, farro, or Israeli couscous.
The hardest part here will be squeezing out the
lemon juice, but that's more
so tedious
than difficult.

So here's what I do: sometime after waking but before eating breakfast, I warm a pint of water (slightly warmer
than body temperature but not hot), juice half a
lemon directly in the glass using a wooden citrus reamer, and top it off with a few sprinkles of non-irradiated cayenne pepper (since, again, the process of irradiation reduces the nutritional profile and natural medicinal properties of herbs and spices, and we don't want that!).

than enough for even the pickiest eater.

than the Meyers do,
