Bamboo is known to absorb more
slowly than microfiber, so of course it seems like it holds less liquid in a test that is performed by dumping a large quantity of liquid quickly over the insert.
Geffen inserts are less
bulky than microfiber AND the hemp / cotton fabric isn't prone to odors building up.
Inserts come in a range of materials like microfiber, hemp and bamboo with hemp or bamboo being most absorbent and
thinner than microfiber.
Fabrics such as hemp, cotton, and bamboo, though still absorbent, are more easily
rinsed than their microfiber counterparts and thus less likely to build up a stink.
It is fairly trim, I like that it is a natural fiber
rather than microfiber and I like the double rows of snaps.
I thought in the beginning that I would prefer the hemp because I love natural fibers so I purchased more
hemp than the microfiber.
So far they only seem to last about 30 minutes
longer than microfiber but since they are so trim I might be able to add more.
As well, they are supposed to be easier to
clean than microfiber, meaning you may face less stink issues over time.
I like them better
than microfiber.
I have had more stink issues with natural fibers (my aios)
than microfiber.
I bought some bamboo inserts because people kept saying how great they were and how much better
than microfiber they were!
