than most recipes require.

I only got 10 rather
than the 14 indicated in the
recipe, because I am not the
most skilled pan-tilter and so mine
required slightly more batter
than suggested — I've written my version, but if you want to try the original instructions, just make each crepe with about 3 Tbsp of batter instead of the 1/3 cup and you'll get a couple more.
I was assuming that the tartness of the rhubarb would
require that I add a little more sugar
than most crumble
recipes, so I took a gander at some other strawberry rhubarb crisp and crumble
recipes.
While some of the
recipes are terribly dated,
most are delicious basics that use simpler and cheaper ingredients and
require fewer fancy preparations
than recipes in my newer cookbooks.
