I'm discovering that the decisions I make every day with some of my less
than stellar food choices are going to be really hard habits to break.

stellar health care and lower -
than - average gas and
food prices to weather that's sunny year - round.
When we fill our tummies up with processed
foods and very little or no fruits and vegetables, we've got a prescription for fatigue, constant hunger due to lack of nutrition, and likely less -
than -
stellar sleep as a result.
If your own
food habits are less
than stellar, try to clean them up a little.
However, no matter how clean and how organic our
food is, most bodies need assistance after a lifetime of, well, less -
than -
stellar choices.
Because we live in the day and age of cheap, processed, fake
foods and less -
than -
stellar environmental situations, our bodies can easily get overloaded with toxins from the things we eat and drink, and sometimes even just from the air we breathe.
Thus, you have the best of both worlds — the nutritional advantage of consuming gently cooked
foods and the
stellar enzymes provided by accompanying super-charged raw fermented
foods, which more
than make up for the loss of enzymes through cooking.
I'm a personal trainer and for the last decade have been teaching my clients «the truth» about
food and haven't seen any case of someone who, when eating 15 % fat or less on a whole
foods plant based diet, had anything other
than stellar results.

The thing that is tough, though — is given that my goal is 100 lbs down by 2/23 (my birthday)-- it is frustrating when I deviate slightly (had one night where I ate quite a bit of carmel corn, and the next day big stirfry with light soy sauce, etc)-- yet because I ate even more strict and cleaner
than before for 11 straight days before that (not one cheat day, processed
food or meal), I gained 14 — yes 14 — pounds in water weight that two weeks later I have only lost 12 of, despite hitting the gym 6 times since, and continuing to eat
stellar (no cheat - low sodium days)-- Funny thing is, my clothes are looser and looser --
Although this
food is cheap, the low quality ingredients make it a less
than stellar choice.
We feed our cats and dogs the very best pet
foods on the market, yet many pets still suffer from common, recurring health ailments such as constipation, diarrhea and other digestive disorders, urinary tract issues, lackluster coats and dandruff in addition to less -
than -
stellar overall health.
Often times these ingredients appear within an ingredient list on dog
food manufacturer bags as «chicken by - product» or «chicken meal» as if the word «chicken» or «beef» listed before the word will hide the less
than stellar ingredients that are within the
food.
The bottom line is that yes, there are overweight people with thin dogs and overweight dogs with thin parents: If the overall health of a person or pet is compromised due to eating habits and / or
food choices that are less
than stellar, there is no shame in seeking help to get on the right track.
I don't recommend prescription diets since the ingredients in these
foods are less
than stellar.
