Ramsey also had a little advice for Arsene Wenger, suggesting that the boss would

His duel with Clemson and Heisman Trophy finalist Deshaun Watson
last season was a little less even — Brissett was 24 of 41 for 254 yards and three touchdowns — and the result was an identical 56 — 41 loss, but the game underscored the fact that few teams in the country leaned

wenger is a legend in his own mind so other peoples opinions... fans, ex players, journalists, etc... have no bearing
on his greatness or the righteousness of his own decisions... from end of
last season it was clear we needed two quality attacking options to put up a serious challenge (getting rid of walcott and campbell or ox and bringing in a serious upgrade over giroud) instead he brought in another midfield option (having
done the same in the winter window) which only makes sense in his own delusional world rather
than the reality of facing up to serious and strengthening competitors and which defines the job at hand....
This article I read
on bleacherreport sums up what a fan who wants the club success would like to see from
than onwards: - Beat Bayern and progress above our mental block - Make top four and possibly as good as
last season finishing # 2 likely getting positive result in our 5 most difficult fixtures (Spurs, Man U, Man City, Everton, Liverpool) & taking back some lost points - Ensuring we finish above any team in London except Chelsea of course - Win FA Cup best chance of silverware - Win UCL long reach but beating Bayern could spur the team and maybe make them believe coupled with playing any team except Barca, Real & Atletico in the round after and could we
do a Chelsea 2012.

best formation is 4 -5-1, high pressure and fast counter attack, something like Klopp
did with BvB
seasons ago, Ozil vision, Walcott speed and Sanchez class can defeat anyone, passing is good but when opponent like Watford just sit and wait its hard to pass and score, start game with high pressure and fast counters
than in second half start playing pass game, so with right balance it could be
done, something we
did against Liverpool
last year
on Emirates, first half high pressure and counter while in second half passing and controling game.
It's funny how he said we are better
than Liverpool overrall forgetting that in terms of players we were still better
than them
last season yet the beat us home and away.Liverpool team is not so good yet out of all the top four team they're the ones who play their hearts out. That's why Liverpool didn't lose a single game to a top four team
last season though
on paper they should have.As for Tottenham if you look at their team they just need a few more signings and consistency so I don't know what's the big deal about them. The painful this is they could've won the league if not for draws. It was a disgrace for any of those two to finish over us
last season because
on paper it shouldn't be so.This should tell you that it's not all about the team you have. Some it's about luck, sometimes it's about giving your best and sometimes it's just meant to be.

We have only seen his best in the
last few
seasons, he was virtually none - existence before then, we look @ Ramsey who was absolutely terrible prio to

than a year, look @ Eduado da silva, I culd go
on and
on, truth is, when you are out for that long, it takes time for you to return to you usual level, it doesn't help his cause that he is not even being used by wenger, how is he suppose to get the match sharpness that he needs?

Unless we raise more money through sales we may have 50 - 60M max in remaining budget (having spent 11M
on Cech and get back around 2M through Podolski sale)-- if we spend 25M
on a DM like Schederlein / Kondogbia / Carvalho now — we
do not have any budget left for the World Class ST that we direly need more

@TH14atl the list of the players you gave me were players who were naturally central midfielders but could play in cmf position and you also gave me no 10's who could also play cmf so i
do not get your take.However
did you see that they were being played in their best positions.I am also against Ramsey
on the wing but i will not be blinded by the fact that if he should be put in box to box role he will be better
than santi in that role. But from what you said i think we might just sell cant we.Have you forgotten the man utd match
last season where peeps were like O!
This
season was the
last straw He
did nt sign players this
season other
than Cech and Eleny, there is no guarantee he will sign any this summer, but finishing outside the top 4 with Leicester, Spurs, City and Utd ahead of us would put lots of pressure
on Wenger to sign top players (if they are willing to play one
season without CL)
why was Sanchez truly playing... no one believes he was too injured to play to start the
season, and some like myself would go as far to suggest he wasn't injured at all... so why play him... they can't say it was to appease the fans because when was that ever a factor at this club except when «panic buys» were in the offing... I believe that this was to give Arsenal a little leverage when it comes to negotiating his transfer... just imagine their horrible bargaining position if Sanchez never saw the field before the deadline then heading back to South America and played for Chile... regardless of the facts, this was sadly again another example of a team putting business ahead of fielding a team with the greatest chance to secure 3 points... of course, some will say that Sanchez is, or was, our best player, so obviously he's a no - brainer to start, but those who really watch the game know that his heart hasn't been truly in it for quite some time... even at the end of
last season you could see a definitive difference between the Sanchez who played for Chile and the one that played for Arsenal... that being said, 70 % of Sanchez is still better
than a 100 % of the vast majority of our remaining roster... shame
on you Arsene and shame
on you too Sanchez for that telling smirk... I've supported your attempt to push this squad to the next level but don't pretend for a second that you didn't know you were being watched... don't lower your standards or you'll end up like this club,
on the outside looking in
Its simple really, Wenger is a very poor manager and has been poor very almost 10 years now, he makes insanely stupid decisions and moves
than not even a non league manager would make e.g Kim Kallstrom, 40mil + 1 for Suarez, not siging an out field player
last season, playing Ozil
on the left wing for some time, Flamini siging, being snubbed by Vardy etc, the list goes
on and
on and
on, Chelsea go in for Kante in within 4 days deal is
done, But noooo Wenger goes in for crack head Vardy and gets snubbed, I'm sorry but if we had to choose over 2 new world class sigings or a new coach I'd opt for the new coach, Wenger is a poor poor manager, he ia lower
than the level of our club, anyway thanks in advance for the thumbs down.....
Say what you like admin.Even Diaby upon
doing nothing for several
seasons was able to secure a move to Marseille which to me is a top team. Was it not
last season that before he went to Bournemouth teams like Juventus and AS Roma were interested in him?He just needs a league which is not physical for the mean time.I mean any time he gets a run of games he begins to hit top forn and just when things are looking up things go down again. This injury thing is a menace in our club.Look at the number of games Gnabry has played. But I will urge him to leave Arsenal because all he needs to
do is to remain injury free. It's not rocket science. If Wilshere remains injury free for just one
season he'll be great. It's just like the Van Persie case.A lot of people were frustrated with him and cllled him man of glass but I knew he just needed to be injury free for one
season.To me he's a better player
than Ramsey though Ramsey is
on form.He also has the ability to surpass Cazorla and be Arsenal's number one. He's also Arsenall thrugh and through.Arsenal has to solve his injury problems because he's shown that when he gets a run of games he can
do it.
The Tide's profile is very similar to Vanderbilt's from
last season, though Alabama has one fewer loss
on its record
than the Commodores

I thought people here were debating about two or three
seasons back why he should be our top striker. When I thought the Monaco match was the icing
on the cake to show how average he was it seems just like Wenger we» will never learn our lesson. Now people our okay with him being a super sub which is debatable.Giroud was a super sub in games
last season because he wasn't played when he was supposed to.He's not your ideal super sub because he very hardly creates but rather requires people to create for him. Most of the time super subs are the one's who tend to create the chances and open up spaces in the opposition defence.West ham are ready to pay and hence we should demand more from them.We can then use the money from his sale
on far better players.Given the same
seasons, time and chances a lot of average strikers can
do better
than what he did. This is because Arsenal create a lot of chances and it just needs someone who can finish.Goodbye!.
The A's are terrible

He
did struggle a bit with the pace of the game
last season but he worked
on his strength and fitness when recovering from injury and after that he covered more distance

This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less
than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we
did years ago...
on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender
on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive
on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better
last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I
do worry that he regressed
last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off -
season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities
on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he
does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he
did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of
last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role
on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third...
on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily
on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are
on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the
season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay
on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen
on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Experienced and a proven winner at club level, Arsenal could certainly
do worse
than taking a fairly safe bet
on former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, who is 9/4 for the job, and who won the double in his first
season the
last time he took up a job in England.
This is all well and good if that squad of players goes
on to show he was right — but if they don't, which is more
than likely, then he only has himself to blame when we turn
on him like we
did last season.
His overall score over 90 minutes this year was 38.67 and that is not quite as good as the 40.39 from
last year and much worse
than the 70.21 of his first
season, so
does this actually show that Ozil is getting worse or having less of an impact as time goes
on?
We all
did not know if Ramsey could even be able to score goals later

Falcao joined the Blues

I think it all depends
on how it's handled, if cech has his heart set
on Arsenal then maureen won't stand in his way, but I
do think we'll have to pay a bit more
than other clubs would as it is becoming clear that we are a real threat,
last season we had fantastic first half and this
season it's looking to be great 2nd half so next
season it's all
on us.
That paper's reporters

Szcznesny hasnt been great this
season, but he
did win golden glove
last season, better to have him fit and competing for his spot
than have him unfit and having to rely

than Ozil when both are inform and is Ramsey not a better box to box player
than Cazorla when both are inform and
do not even deny even if you have your own opinion. Why not put Cazorla in Ozil's position and put Ramsey in the box to box position where he plays best. Can you imagine Giroud
on the wings and Mertesacker at right back.I for one still stand by my word that Ramsey is a better box to box player
than Cazorla yet peeps will deny.Which position
did Ramsey play when he was at his best some
seasons ago.To me he is better
than him in that role.I remember the man utd match
last season yh.Also Cazorla can
do anything Ozil can
do and
do it better including shooting.I mean what is this we are not accepting the realities of the team but we ourselves are forging our favourites into the team.
Do this and you will see we will be better.I just
do not get it at allllll. Please share your views

on what you think
Six weeks ago most Arsenal fans thought that we didn't have more
than a 1 in a 100 chance of finishing above Tottenham for the 21st year in a row, but in an amazing turnaround it was Spurs that collapsed at the end of the
season, allowing theGunners to pip them for second spot
on the
last day of the
season.
Suffice to say we
do nt necessarily have to build our game around one player, suarez scored a sh*t tonne as well as sturridge
last season so it is possible to accomodate more
than one goalscorer, but we need a player that we can rely
on to score consistently otherwise we will find some games difficult to win
of course no team wants to lose but I can guarantee you that the reaction by the Chelski fans after today's results are nowhere near what would have occurred if we shit the bed
on opening day... the difference is they have tasted EPL success
on more
than one occasion recently, they have won the Champions League and they have
done it with 3 different managers in the
last 12 years with a similar, if not smaller, wage bill
than us... in comparison, we have been experiencing our own personal Groundhog Day with nothing to show for it but a few silvery trinkets that would barely wet the appetite of a world - class club... so it's time for Wenger to stop gloating over our week one escape act and make some substantial moves before this window closes or I fear that things will take a horrible turn when the inevitable happens... living
on a knife's edge is no way to go through a full
season of football and regardless of what side of the argument you fall
on, you could feel high levels of toxicity in the air and that was friggin week one... I would much rather someone tried their best and failed,
than took half - measures and hoped for the best
The
season before
last 14 15 we
did better with the points
than last season even though we came second from
last season we know we conceded many goals from set pieces and were very short
on goal scoring the logic of this
season was to fix the defensive department and the offensive department by introducing a defender to reduce the amount of goals conceded unless holding is to be the man we havent us of yet fixed the problem
on the offensive department we all know the only offensive player is chuba apkom well else we have not addressed the problem so in reality I
do not except Arsenal to finish the
season with more
than 70 points and personally think minimum point required to win the premier league is 85 points have we got that in our squad it will remain to be seen if chuba and holding are enough for a key to unlock the
season we will soon find out but I think MR wenger is gambling with the introduction of new manageress which lives us with Liverpool and Leicester and who will take the points off united chelsea and city the next 6 games should give us the indication to what may happen to the long run for the new year
Off topic anyone notice how ozil was used
on the left wing
last season and the first part of this
season and he was under performing fans and pundits were all saying how wenger should build the team around ozil since that was his best position and he cost us 42m well since his return he has only played either cam or right wing (he said in a interview that those were his fav positions since he played them at real) taking the place of an in form cazorla and it all seems to work I think wenger has
done this all
on purpose because if u look at ozils overall performance after his injury its much better
than before, he tackles, wins the ball back and covers more distance
than anyone else wenger
does this often using players out of position for a while only to make their overall game better and mostly it works genius
