I do like the cast, and for the sake of everyone involved, I hope the actual film proves to be much better
than this trailer looks.

trailer for 12 Years a Slave
looks a bit more conventional
than I would have expected from Steve McQueen, but that is by no means a major knock against its quality.

than ever before, this flashy new Super Bowl spot gives us a more horror - based
look at the summer sequel.
The official
trailer for Zoolander 2 (or 2oolander, as it's known amongst those of us who aren't really, really, ridiculously good -
looking) has arrived, with way more plot and action
than the teaser, but minus the bumbling of that video's release.
The
trailer presents a quest driven by some sort of romnace and graphics that
look a great deal sharper
than From Software's previous Souls efforts.
An extended cut of the film's previously - released
trailer (see above) offers a better
look at Hazel's daily life, via a talk with her parents - one that's rather different
than the conversations most teens have with their mom and dad - as well as an extra moment or two between she and the young Augustus Waters (Elgort): a teen amputee and bone cancer survivor, whose thirst for life and upbeat personality make it all but impossible for Hazel to be immune to his charms (or so the
trailer informs us, anyway).
Other
than a
look at a new alien species, most of the
trailer is action beats and one - liners.
The first
trailer for this arrived just last month, and it actually
looked pretty fun, better
than I was expecting.
The
trailer itself sells a movie that
looks far more approachable
than most of Wheatley's work so far — his penchant for combining grisly violence with black comedy is on full display, but it's wrapped in a package that could be appealing to audiences who found the psychedelic A Field in England too weird or Kill List too oblique.

than a few completed action sequences.

Trailer 4» (2:35), all of which make the movie
look much cooler
than it actually is.
I thought Vantage Point
looked like a pretty decent thriller from the
trailer - quite refreshing to see actors of a certain vintage in a film like this, rather
than a bunch of kids - but reviews suggest my enthusiasm was possibly misplaced (I'll get to make my own mind up soon enough).
From the
trailers that we have seen so far, it
looks like the movie Avengers are having more
than a little difficulty with Thanos and his Black Order, even before he has actually put the Infinity Gauntlet together.

trailer for Dark Places, an adaptation for Gillian Flynn's second novel — she didn't write the screenplay for this one, though — was released yesterday and it
looks much darker and more true crime - y
than Gone Girl.

trailer that debuted back in December, and with this star - studded female lineup led by Sandra Bullock, we could be
looking at one of this summer's biggest hits.
It's a bloody
trailer, and of course the CG might
look dodgy... but the film isn't coming out for months, so they have more
than enough time to work on it.

The 2nd
trailer looks worst
than the first.
I like the 60s - 70s vibe of the
trailer and poster, and it
looks like Payne is going for something subdued like Sideways rather
than something more mainstream like The Descendants.
That
trailer was filled with over-expository moments and scenes that made the film
look like a remake of Predator rather
than an adaptation of VanderMeer's work.
The beast
looked better on screen
than he did in the
trailers for sure.
What It Could Win: The first
trailer for Collateral Beauty makes it
look like a weepy take on A Christmas Carol, but the movie has a dark side that might intrigue more
than one Academy voter.
Everything we've seen so far from Café Society, including the
trailer and these clips, makes their latest collaboration
look more enticing
than their previous film.
Maybe it's deeper and more nuanced
than the
trailer suggests, but ir sure
looks like shite.
The
trailers look grittier
than any previous film in the «Star Wars» universe, and the supporting roles are particularly well - cast, with Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian, and Woody Harrelson in a criminal underworld mentor role.
Set against the crusty, propulsive keyboard plinks of Jefferson Starship's «Jane» (which opens both Wet Hot American Summer and its accompanying series), the
trailer overrides American Honey's diegetic soundtrack to give it the low - stakes
look of a suggestive teen sex comedy (replete with comedic freeze frames and vintage title cards) rather
than the sobering exploration of class and youthful recklessness it is.
This doesn't
look any better
than the latest
trailer for Need for Speed, but it still has a slick feel to it that's hard to resist.
Thankfully, the
trailer looks more interesting
than the title.

It's clear that director Ryan Coogler (Creed) has put a distinctive stamp on the project, from the Run The Jewels - and Kendrick Lamar - set
trailers to a visual style that
looks more Guardians - imaginative

Having said that, I thought the visuals in this

than anything I saw in all of The Force Awakens, so I'm pretty excited to see more
