Thaw the spinach at room temperature or in the microwave.

Saute

thawed spinach and chopped up artichokes.
Return the cooked and drained pasta to the large pot (heat turned off) and add
the thawed spinach.
Note: Alternatively, instead of blanching the spinach, you can use frozen and
thawed spinach (excess water removed), or butter - roasted spinach cooked in a pan for 30 - 60 seconds.
Meanwhile, lay a clean kitchen towel or several layers of paper towel on the counter and place
the thawed spinach at the bottom of one short end.
Wrap towel around spinach and squeeze out all of the liquid remaining in
the thawed spinach.
If using frozen spinach, dump
thawed spinach into a clean tea towel or tripled up paper towel.
