Big in your list I can agree that all these players would improve us, but let's look at our CB At the moment Kos, top player but is struggling with a inj which may or may not heal, at the moment he isn't match fit so not up to his own high standard, so needs help or a defender of his quality so he can go and recover properly So then we have Mert, too slow and no longer good enough, I'm not sure if he's even good enough for 3 rd choice CB, too slow, poor on the air for his size and not brave enough, he's lasted this long due to Kos he needs a Top class CB just to allow him to play against average teams Ok now Reid not top class we can all agree so we couldn't really play him with MERT as he isn't Kos quality so can't cover merits deficiencys He could be ok with Kos but Kos is struggling So is Reid what we need???? And finally Wenger if he has all 3 fit will still play Kos / Mert first choice Oh and God forbid we play MERT / Reid against the top teams like Chels / city / utd / Southampton Chuckle chuckle

I'm so sick of people telling those of us who are disgruntled fans to relax and give this club time to correct itself... for anyone who believes that taking a wait - and - see approach is appropriate at this juncture they should take a good long look at themselves in the mirror because they are a big part of the problem... no other «big» club's fans would stand for this shit for nearly as long as we have... think about it, we've witnessed a changing of the guard at every major club in England, Spain, France and Germany in the last several years because those «big» clubs failed to live up to expectations (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Chelsea, ManU, ManCity etc...)... for some reason, many fans have become as fragile as our current manager, believing that there couldn't possibly be a suitable replacement, even though everyone of these clubs have found multiple replacements and still achieved far more than our club... this mindset has been created by an organization that has been milking it's fans, telling countless lies (no world class players available) and lowering expectations every since they rolled out the biggest lie of all: that we couldn't spend because of the new stadium but once it was paid off we could compete with any team in the world... this organization is rotting from the inside out and if we don't demand that those in charge put soccer first this despicable behaviour won't end with Wenger's ridiculous 2 year contract... I think the real fear isn't that a suitable replacement doesn't exist, but that this organization is so money hungry and poorly mismanaged that we will sink even lower by choosing our next coach the same way they choose our players, on the cheap... even so, we need to see what mustache will do if left to his own devices so he will have to show his true colours... only then can we purge this club and start anew

This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Without a MCD and 2 CD top classes, we can't make it... I hope song comes in quickly and solve this issue that starts from our back, Kos is alone for years, mustafi is no security and we don't have anyone in front of them... Alex Oxldae Chamberlain is a very good player.Whenever he plays he is world class and yes that is what i see in him whenever he plays. He has destroyed world class full backs and centre backs to earn the world class tag.To me he really is a world class player. It is only injury that has stopped him from carrying on.By the way have you guys seen YASSIN FORTUNE just when i thought Adelaide was the real deal then he shows up.He even look much more promising to me to be honest. Now all, Wenger has to do is to sign a cf and a defensive midfielder although to me i still see some weakness in the team.
his hold up play is so good that he allows the defenders to come to him, he beats them with skill and pure pace and then pires or ljunberg is already awaiting the pass... that is world class, strikers like henry etoo Ronaldo drogba, even lewnadoski and co have learnt to drift to any direction or wing so as to pull defenders away from the box and create space for other mates..
No matter how you slice it, this admission is reason enough for termination of both Wenger and Gazidis... this owner, who has personally poisoned every major sporting organization he currently owns in North America (Rams, Avalanche & Nuggets), has no regard for the concerns of the fans, just ask anyone in St. Louis, home of the once - vaunted «Greatest Show on Earth»... they had to endure numerous losing campaigns under his reign, before suffering the ultimate humiliation, as he moved the team to Los Angeles to quench his seemingly unending financial thirst... do you think it's a coincidence that ever since his arrival both Wenger and Gazidis have made grand claims each and every May to secure season ticket sales then fail to live up to the billing... they will do anything to make money except the very things that would make the most sense from a soccer perspective: buying a world - class striker since RVP, a Viera - like boss in the midfield and a dominant, physical CB in the mold of Adams or Sol... let's face it, they didn't even try
Producing a top performance in the WC in Brazil is different to spending 80 minutes on a cold wet / sleety evening in England doing very little and then producing a world class save which affects the result.
we need a top striker no matter what... even if we have to make a robot or kidnap a good one, we need a top forward... we need an energetic, fast, flexible, killer striker... if these doesn't happen then the first signing we should make come 2015 - 16 is a new top class manager who understands what building a top side means!!!

An injury prone team with maybe 2 world class players and can't even finish 4th at best yet Wenger is still insulting us loyal fans the man is completely out of touch and if he stays I can guarantee it will be a summer like every summer linked to every player in europe get some player we do nt need get thumped on the opening day then Wenger realizes we're a bit short after all and send the infamous Dick Law out to find a deadline day panic buy.

If Wenger had got us a top class striker, not Welbeck, and even bothered to look at the DM position in the summer, then I'm sure we'd be a lot closer or even top at the moment.
Personally I would say the guy just ain't worth it.That money can be used more wisely to get what we need.Lemar shouldn't have been a priority. The centre of the park should have been the problem. We are missing the point clearly.Even Bernardo Silva is as good as him yet went for lower.I've watched him and I know eventually he'll be world class but that doesn't mean he should be worth that bid because we have players his age wiyh more potential and cheaper.I remember people stating how Lacazette was not even worth # 45 some seasons back then all of a sudden he's signed for higher and people are behaving like they already like him.I'm sure the logic was that he was in the French league and possibly can't cut it at the top. This isn't money well spent at all.
There is also a big bifference between playing at the WC in Brazil and spending 80 minutes doing nothing on a cold wet English evening and then producing the world class save which affects the result.
I think Coquelin is fantastic defensively literally world class defending but his attacking ability is just not good enough.Had he had that he would be Arsenal's ideal DMF.He has backpocketed the likes of Modric (12/13) Silva, Coutinho, Fellaini (upon his size) etc. with his fantastic defending.Though many people think he was a one season wonder I disagree because even as a youngster he was doing that.I quite remember some of his man of the match performances back then as a young boy.I think he's a fantastic squad option and if Cazorla were to be fit I'd choose Coquelin to pair him.
If Owen thinks liv boy is world class well then he should be compared to similar players ie Sanchez, Robben, Bale, Hazard etc Sterling is not even close.
If you want to talk mediocrity look at other teams other then Man U even Chelsea and you will understand what mediocrity is Morons like you will never appreciate what Wenger has done for Arsenal football club Certainly more then the current plastic moronic fanbase at Arsenal I've been a season ticket holder since 1976 and this is the worst fanbase I have seen in that time BeforfNs start saying we pay top money my answer is don't come t the ground we don't need stupid fans better to have half empty stadium full of real fans then morons taking out their real frustrations of failure on the team Just ask spuds fans who seem to back their team even though they have only won 2 trophies in 30 years and only been in the cl 4 times as opposed to the cabinet Full of trophies that Wenger has delivered plus a new stadium and works class stars that have played for us in his tenure.
I hope you whisper when you say that.Secondly define what WC is because if you are trying to categorize these players with Messi, Ronalda, Yaya, Aguero, Fabregas and Co then i am afraid ONLY Sanchez even comes close to being world class
It was a night which evoked memories of 2010, when then Champions League holders Inter Milan were torn apart at White Hart Lane and this was an evening for the Class of 2017 to write their names into Spurs» folklore.
