Perhaps strong competition for places in the

The
then -20-year-old Correa, who had been drafted

to make the postseason, as they were basically a.500

He was

If you want
to make a case for Nouhou's «mental attention span», try defining what constitutes an error and
then chart out when they have occurred during games since he started playing regularly with the
first team.
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none
make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before
making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems
to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player
to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not
to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed
to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough
to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract
then played until he suffers his
first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed
to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't
make any of the top 7
teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good
team can afford
to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills
to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related
to the failure of this club
to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
Mertz should never have been our captain in the
first place... who has ever heard of a
team that
makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz)
then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get - go... indicative of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse for the better part of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the players chosen and / or the management style of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world - class players because many times they want
to have a voice on and off the pitch and this can't happen when you play for a fragile manager who has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown
to some players regardless of their glaring lack of production... remember that Ramsey has played in positions that
make no sense considering his skill - set (out wide) and has forced other players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (let's remember when you read articles about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual who didn't score a goal until the final week last season)... this of course is just one example of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club
to address the fact that no former player of any real consequence has any important role in the management structure of this club, yet several former Gunners have expressed serious interest in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just
to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
Joel Campbell is good but arsenal fans never cease
to amaze me.They never
make up their mind they wait for the player
to have a dip in form and
then insult and criticize him and say childish things.
Then when he does well they pretend like they were always in support of him.I remember always saying here
first that Szczesny is a better goalkeeper than Ospina.I also proudly defended Szczesny everytime they aimed at him.How i wish he started at Chelsea or any other
team and i bet you he would not be this error prone.I know forever he will always be better than Ospina and that is a fact not even an opinion. For Campbell vs Ox its there for everyone
to see Ox would eventually win the battle come one day.But injuries have
made him so unlucky. He should go
to Chelsea where he would be better taken care of and would
make people eat their words.
You never know, they may actually win, and if Olympiakos get beaten in Germany as well
then we can put out our
first team in the last game in Greece and try and win by the neccesary two goals
to make sure we finish in the top two.
He's a bit overrated I must say.I also don't get those who are asking him
to tackle well. The fact is he's not a good tackler.I fear Wenger has
made him untouchable in our
team such that even if he plays badly he still starts.I mean if people are saying he's not a DM in the
first place
then is he also a CM?If he's a CM does he have the quality
to play along side a DM?These are the questions we need
to ask ourselves.If he's a CM
then he's good at distributing from deep and also up top but he can't hold thd ball in tight spaces or dribble which is very important. If he's a DM
then he simply can't defend. That's why for us
to be successful in the long term with him we need a hybrid midfielder or what I call a defensive box
to box midfielder.
i think that the problem lays somewhere in the coaching set in the reserves and the

Why is this even an issue? We
make some we buy some like we've always done. It's not like we've ever had a full
team or
first eleven playing for Arsenal where all the player actually came through our ranks and were not bought from foreign countries
to come through our ranks. The fact is Arsenal give youngsters a chance time and time again such that even if they're average and were destined
to be world class and they become world class
then that's where the saying that» We don't buy superstars, we
make them» arises. They continually give youngsters a chance that's the reason and we are unlike so many
teams out there.

Wenger spoke of how Arsenal have invested a lot into Gnabry since his debut came in 2012 and although the winger hasn't gone on
to make too many appearances since
then, he has shown
to be impressive on the occasions he has played and he works well alongside the more regular
first team players.
This is an incredibly difficult question
to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only
to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would
make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel
to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can
make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards
to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems
to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early
to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency
to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs
to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious
to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national
team a couple years ago, who truly
makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently
to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow
to ever boss the midfield and he tends
to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always
made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed
to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready
to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him
to use Francis and
then he had the nerve
to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary
to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed
to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends
to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez,
make little
to no sense considering what he has
to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National
team's midfield, where
teams couldn't afford
to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try
to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards
to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary
first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair
to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went
to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had
to choose one of those 3 players
to stay on it would be Ox due
to his potential as a plausible alternative
to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue
to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't
make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due
to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem
to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this
team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would
make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold
to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this
team is like an addiction
to heroin without the benefits
In a

Bellerin was the main culprit on the
first goal as he left Daniels in acres of space and

I remember when Coq and Dench where trying
to make first team, it was Dench that yous two and allot people where calling for
to play more, and
then ya say its only because hes French that Coq got picked,
then youd be screaming for Wenger and Coqs head as things where not going great, and now look what yous are trying
to say — Dench is the one who got games and Coq was always as good as he is now... somethings stay same — Wenger is blah blah.

Similarly David Luiz found himself frozen out of

@ jo jo i am in total agreement with you as i expected today almost everyone is going on about how bad we are ect i just watched the highlights again
to make sure i wasnt watching another game we out played the spuds for over 30 mins in the
first half lioris had
to make 4 good saves and all were shoots from distance wilshire was very good as with ramsey we
then dominated again in the second half with more good shoots and saves buy the spud keeper yes its disapointing but we were much the better
team maybe you all listened
to phill neville but you should know by now we have

Why are we keep talking about Europa League Arsenal are way better than just Europa League for cry out loud we still have the chance
to go through our group stage we have 2 more games
to play if we beat our 2 remaining of games which i believe we'll,
then we'll still go through even though there is a lot of injuries in the
team right now but we still have a good squad
to beat any of those 2
team let's under the fact that Arsenal
made mistakes on their
first 2 games & of course our 4th game
to bayern but they ain't s ** t
Although maybe the phrase defensive midfielder is a bit of a misleading one, as Arsenal fans have got used
to the fact that our manager is not all that keen on an out and out midfield warrior and we only have only had the brilliant and combative Francis Coquelin in the
first team because another injury crisis forced Wenger's hand and
then Coquelin proved his worth and
made himself undroppable.
If none of his

then adaptations must be

not really
making the news, the atmosphere on last wednesday was really strange, silent, step by step
to normal football, but you can't throw away your thoughts immediately, I just got a glimpse of Enkes personality during a film of him shown before the match, I can't realize how hard it must be for his wife
to lose him, tomorrow the players of Germans
first Bundesliga will wear a black ribbon again, but I think it won't affect the atmosphere like it has with the national
team despite of Hannover of course, people will be enthousiastic again, but there is the idea of an «Enke donation» which I like, will keep his name alive, will take some positive emotions on this tragedy and a kind of appeal for everyone
to reflect the important things of life and control your own behaviour, I hope so at least, and I hope his wife will cope with that situation, and again: it was really hard for the German nationl
team to play under these circumstances,
to lose someone close in this way is hard
to deal with, on the other hand it causes a close solidarity feeling I think, but of course the world will not change, things are returning
to the old soon, but nonetheless for me this tragedy is a kind of human wake - up call, at least a call and

For the
first three months of the season he was a key figure in former Inter head coach Andrea Stramaccioni's

If Pritchard

team can even come close
to that.
Against Qarabag in the Champions League he

As I mentionned above that ive just watched all the Arsenal game 2007 and 2008, Ive personnaly gave up with this idea of strngthenin our defence. Its obvious, we need CDM, and I strongly recommend Toure for that job, but finally, I found out our main PBM: AW is a man who beleives in: THE BEST DEFENCE IS ATTACKIN.He has built the
team that way. When I watched our 2007 games, i could see that most of these
teams who has defeated us this season played exactly the same style of game last season but they couldnt perform so much as our attackin side were so strong for them so that they were always held at their own defensive side. The game is completely Psycological. At the 1st 10mn of the game, they try
to attack @their best, but just when we start attackin
then all their mdlfldr start
to pull back coz most of our attack are all dangerous. And this is what
makes the diffrence between the so called BIG 4 and the rest of the league. The Pbm isnt really that our defence is so weak, It is our attack which is WEAK.Durin the
first half of this season, Our guys couldnt perform any attackin strategy planned by AW, coz 1st: they were new
to it, coz they have only practiced it durin trainin session.2 nd: Some of the key players are gone.3 rd: Even AW did nt know where exactly is the best position for those new players, the likes of Nasri, Vela, and some of them were all subsitute last year.Plus they are all young players who can improve and change their style game after game.
Cesc4life Agree on almost everything you said we need
to Fabianski a chance he has been fighting for the
first team place for a long time now and if he thinks he's ready
then lets
make him prove that on the pitch.
not Liverpool, and we sacrificed the CL top rank place for that. The pbm here now is: do u guys have any solution for the current issue?give some if you do.If u think u really love the club that much,
