Alexis came with a good spirit, seing Ozil on board, thinking a team would be built around them but year after year, it is no top class addition with a guessing game plan, weakness all over the pitch, players
out of position, a team scared to
play and lost as manager... Sanchez
then started to ask more money, we said no as to Ozil; waiting 6 month later to be on last year contract... The all management is nuts and Alexis or any players try until they get fed up, Ozil
plays to get fit for wrld cup and his value back...

If we start this season with those two in our starting 11 it will be a clear sign from this organization that nothing has changed and that we will never get it right until both Kroenke and Wenger are gone... neither one
of these players should still be with our club at this point because they represent the settling half - measures that have plagued this team for a number
of years... this is what I call the «no man's land»
of the soccer world, where teams don't have enough talented young players, unlike a Monaco or Dortmund, because they have lost the plot from an organizational standpoint... they are so reliant on one individual to run the whole operation that their once relevant scouting department has become so antiquated that it can no longer find those hidden gems it once had... furthermore, when you leave all decision - making to a manager who despises any dissenting opinions, your management team becomes little more than a stagnant group
of «yes men» and no new ideas emerge... so instead
of developing a team with the qualities necessary to excel in a particular system, you continually make half - brain purchases year after year to stifle dissent from the ticket - buying public,
then try desperately to finagle together a lineup regardless

So unless you conjure up a new formation or

In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch
of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all
of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because
of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never
played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming
play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said
position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention
of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract
then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped -
out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any
of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench
playing the same
position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure
of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez
of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
Mertz should never have been our captain in the first place... who has ever heard
of a team that makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz)
then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership
positions from the get - go... indicative
of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse for the better part
of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the players chosen and / or the management style
of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world - class players because many times they want to have a voice on and off the pitch and this can't happen when you
play for a fragile manager who has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some players regardless
of their glaring lack
of production... remember that Ramsey has
played in
positions that make no sense considering his skill - set (
out wide) and has forced other players off the field or into equally unfamiliar
positions with little or no justification (let's remember when you read articles about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual who didn't score a goal until the final week last season)... this
of course is just one example
of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former player
of any real consequence has any important role in the management structure
of this club, yet several former Gunners have expressed serious interest in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
Mistamonn most
of the time his
playing players
out of position is because we don't have the necessary depth
of players for each
position specially on the left, the team is always
out of balance he rely needs to buy W / C if not top players in key
positions, last year i was commenting that we needed a striker before a class DM but i was so wrong, we first need the best DM that money can buy no mater how much
then and only
then we can look for another class DM and a couple
of descent defenders.

The problem is when you have an average defensive midfielder
then your backline can never be at rest.Coquelin should have started this match. Some people think he's average but I feel he's been
played out of position and being tasked with doing too much like a box to box player. How can someone who bases his game on tackling and interception lose that ability all
of a sudden and you tell me nothing's wrong but bdcause he's average. Are we fans going to ignore what is plain to us?Let's just pretend things are alright.
Then after we win the cracks will be papered only for them to be exposed another day.
Everyone goes on about not
playing players
out of position then indulges the whippet in his belief about striker potential... he ain't and never will b... the difference with the ox when he came on was obvious last night... We have been lumbered with this overrated guy forb a decade now... Why we upped his wages is a mystery to me but torpedoes any talk
of wenger's managerial prowess that is for sure
Klopp
plays players

then Wenger.
I have a problem when James says how he wants to display living and

Then lets

They have a shelf life
of 8/10 years at the very top if they are lucky so who can begrudge them the opportunity to make hay whilst the sun is shining... am not saying Sanchez is not money driven but the way the guy
plays i can mortgage my life he actually enjoys the game, enjoys wining first and foremost
then money comes 2nd... like the author
of the article rightly pointed
out, he was in Messi's shadow at Barca and could not express himself fully, now he is at a club where he is the main man and given a free role and license to express himself and i very much doubt if he will want to go to a club like Madrid (as been rumoured in the dailies today) to relieve the bad experience he suffered at Barca because let us face facts, he is never going to displace CR7 as the main man, so even if Madrid sells Benzema or Bale to make room for him he will be back to the same
position he was at Barca, this time he will be
playing 2nd fiddle to CR7 so my guess is all the Madrid talks is been fed the press by his agents to drive a hard bargain when contract extension talks resumes.....
To accommodate Wilshere you
play him
out of position and
then Ozil too.
In yesterdays case not

the likes
of neista David Silva our own ozil they don't defend but rather tack back to slot in the defensive line for the real defenders to do their job.have u all take note that ozil don't normally jump for headers in the heart
of the midfield.so all I'm saying is if Chamberlain do nt want to defend yo make that
position his
then he should trying
playing in the attacking
position as he did excel there when he was
played against Bayern last year or he is
out from arsenal.
am tired
of wenger.the man has got good skills, but somehow he fails to address basic issues in the team like buying a striker and a cdm in the last summer.at one time, arsenal had good squad but had a keeper who at times committed mistakes i.e almunia.
then after ozil came and arsenal were first in december, all wenger had to do was buy a pacy striker with eye for goal.but wenger did nt so obviously and instead bought an injured kallstrom.agreed ppl fans will keep saying managers shud hav
played this guy or that one and so.but in case
of wenger, its abt ignoring team issues t (to prove a point he can win without listening to critics and the fans which he never will), and
then playing players
out of form,
out of position, and buying players that do nt fit ur style like giroud!!
Conclusion:
Out of 11 players for 5
positions only 5 were physically ready and the only solid option was to
play Holding Monreal and Kola and Bell as RWB and Ox as LWB or vice versa, or the other option would be to
play a not so fit Mustafi but
then we couldnt have given them a fight for it if had been necessary..
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety
of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style
of play has become a shadow
of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and
play» mentality where players
play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying
position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide
positions, without the aid
of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance
play quickly
out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs
out wide, we've seen pace from the likes
of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted
play of Monreal, but none
of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was
playing and his ratio
of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched
played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball
play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part
of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he
played with Coq Wenger always seemed to
play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and
then he had the nerve to act like this was all part
of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature
of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player
of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been
played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front
of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that,
of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one
of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back
position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one
of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already
of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs
of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack
of mobility is an albatross around the necks
of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because
of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Add to that a most «baffling decision'to purchase our most expensive player that every knows needs to operate in the proper setup and
then proceed to
play him on the wing where he is like a fish
out of water while at the same time as doing that our manager comments that it would be «tempting to
play him» in his correct
position.
We didn't need a manager this season if we're just gonna put
out the same players that come 5th anyone could
of done what wenger is doing it's easy I buy lacazette
then put he same team
out from the same squad even when I have injuries it's easy just put
out the rest
of the squad and
play them
out of position I mean I'd take 8mil to do that oxlade at lwb kolansinac at cb elneny cm holding rcb there's no work
of a manager there just put in players were others ain't ready to
play then buy nobody else and do interviews with the same excuses job done next game change some ppl around but same ppl that came 5th
then sell Alexis do interviews same excuses job done transfer window closes fans wish they never supported arsenal wenger laughing to the bank job done
The truth is the players have no clue what they have to do: Monreal looks so lost
playing out of any
position, Bellerin looks like a young lady shopping at the mall, Koscielny is just clearing balls, Xhaka is missing almost all the forward passes, Iwobi runs with the ball 3 - 4 m and
then looses it, Giroud is just waiting for crosses, Alexis thinks he is Messi but he is dribbling no one etc..
Yes we picked up Real Madrid's no 10 and
then proceeded to
play him
out of position and we wondered why he went off the boil, Sanchez?
I would
play chambers in dm
position alongside ramsey with ozil having free role behind sanchez and ox on right that gives us plenty
of pace and will allow ozil to get on the ball more and produce his magic passes he will be much more influential
then stuck
out on the wing espec as he is poor at tracking back so lets
play to his strengths that will get the best
out of him and in turn create more chances for forwards!
Playing players
out of position system, if that is the one you are talking about
then yes.
Wenger lost the plot when he brought in Giroud... what about the beautiful game involves having a lumbering striker who's main attribute is holding up
play... our success with Wenger, and even before, came with pace and clinical striking up front, having a boss in the midfield and having physically imposing CBs... what about Wright, Bergkamp, Anelka, Henry or RVP remind anyone
of Giroud (minus the left foot
of course)... the formula was broken, which didn't have to be the end
of our success, but when you adopt half - measures you can't expect things just to work themselves
out on their own... at the very least Wenger should have brought in some wingers that can consistently cross the ball and
then spend significantly more time addressing our lack
of success with set pieces... ultimately this is why we continued to struggle with consistency and continued to constantly
play people in the wrong
positions
And you can not
play Fabregas as winger or striker (
out of position) and
then criticizing him for less effective.
Insane definition: Starting players wanting
out; benching starters just signed;
playing players
out of position;
then mix in the nutty formation with open doors for attack!
