Have been convinced for years that what we put on our skin affects our health and so was my grandmother — she had fabulous skin using
pure olive oil (as coconut
oil wasn't freely available back
then).
I prefer to get around this problem by using
pure olive oil,
then whisking in some extra-virgin gently at the end for flavor.
Then, simply mix in the
pure maple syrup,
olive oil, vanilla, and a couple of warming spices.
